coeburn's water bills are outrageous

Consider how much you pay for cable and internet, yeah thats right, you pay more for something as trivial as entertainment than you do for something that is a necessary for life itself....water. Water is not cheap to clean and considering the current admistration in the White House with the EPA breathing down the necks of cities and towns of mandated restrictions, you better be glad its not higher. The same people that gripe over their water bills will spend more on cigarettes for the month....Pitiful.

No other towns charge that for water and sewer. Think our mayor and council better be lowering the bills of they wanna keep their seats

You are right rob it is the town council BUT it was Larry, Carol and Lynn that voted to INCREASE THE RATES BEFORE THEY LEFT OFFICE. They did it about 5-6 months before they left. It's very clear to understand go look it up its in black and white how they voted. It has NOTHING to do with this current council.

you are right sarah,it was that larry,carol,lynn wells and that loretta mays that stuck us with the higher water bills.i am going to have to cut down on taking baths,can't afford a shower every day.maybe once a week.i hope they can take the smellwhen i attend th council meetings.maybe i could sit beside of loretta,let her get a whiff and she how she likes the town people not being able to afford a bath.

They aren't the "saviors" of the town. They are the downfall! Larry Lynn and carrol were good council members that were responsible and cared about the town. Not their egos nor their hard feelings. The new council is making a mockery of the town. The only good one they have is Jeff who stands up for procedure and points out where everyone is making mistakes and are flat out wrong. The reason the NEW council can not lower it Carol, Lynn and Larry voted to increase it over a period of time and used it to budget so you cant. It's very clear in teh mintues Rob why not read it. I was at the meeting when it happened.I figured Rob and all the jeff supporters were smart enough to figure that out. But i guess not. Just ask Loretta Mays your buddy if you dont want to learn the facts for yourself. So this new council can not do anything to lower it the way the old council passed it. Dont worry guys we will put Jeff out in 2016 i promise. My famly all votes we make up 29 voters in town we are a big family. We will be working hard. Jeff and those guys can live in a fantasy if it helps them. We voted out Larry we sure can Jeff.
