Does anyone have a good idea of what the town needs? I know Fireman's Park was recently redone for a Boy Scout Eagle Project, but what else would be a good idea for a community-wide project that whould help the people that live there directly? Comment me with any ideas.

What comes to mind is temporary for our annual Christmas in Ida weekend. Lewis Ave. needs some sprucing up with decorations and more lights. It tends to look dirty and forgotten more than festive. I thought it would be really, really cool for businesses to add lots of lights to their buildings and if we could find a spot to have someone make a temporary Ice Rink for two days or more that everyone could use. In Alpena Mi. they do one at Christmas and it's tradition. Maybe bring ice sculptures back.

oh, and theirs a really large pine tree on the corner of Northwood and Westwood Rd. that could be decorated and lit up by the community for everyone to enjoy. Someone to organize and help with constructing giant wooden Christmas cards for people to put out in their yards and call it the Christmas Card Walk. Maybe provide a map of cards to see.
