why ? a week later nothing has been released ? not even a name? who is this man that was driving the car that killed my buddy ?

give the friends, most importantly , the family some closure. i have a feeling the 27 year old gilberts man that was driving the 1998 jeep is politically connected , or has a friend or family member on the police force, in the county rank and file.

was he drunk ? was it simply an accident ? why no skid marks at the scene ? patrick was in the windshield , he wasnt clipped on the road . there was no question as to what was hit. let alone , a father , a son , and a friend to many. a human being . that was left to die , because the 27 year old gilberts man "freaked" as i read on other commentary boards.
i can go on forever.... patrick god bless your family, friends, and soul.

"He didn't know what to do. He panicked," Mee said. "He actually did the right thing by telling somebody. They talked it over and decided to call us."... NO , THE RIGHT THING WOULD TO DO WOULD HAVE BEEN TO STOP AND CALL 911!

HOW LONG DID THEY TALK IT OVER? IN THE MEAN TIME ... SOMEONE WAS DYING. AT THAT POINT, SECONDS LET ALONE MINUTES ARE CRITICAL.

Simpson was taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin, where he was pronounced dead, and the driver, a 27-year-old Gilberts man, later contacted police to report the accident, according to police reports. No charges have been filed, but police said charges would be made in the next few days.
A FEW DAYS? A FEW WEEKS LATER .... AND STILL NOTHING. WHY ?

AT 3-5 YEARS OLD, WE ALL LEARNED TO CALL 911 DURING A TIME OF EMERGENCY. THAT NUMBER, AND PROCEDURE HAS STUCK WITH US THROUGH OUT OUR LIVES. THE DRIVER OBVIOUSLY HAD THE STATE OF MIND TO PICK UP A PHONE. WHY WAS HIS 1ST CALL TO A FRIEND ?

Officer Mee needs to realize who the victim in this case is, his name was Patrick Simpson. Instead, He is sympathizing with the driver.
