Rybak files to run for governor

Democrat R.T. Rybak is telling supporters he's running for governor, two days after Minneapolis voters re-elected him to a third term as mayor.

Why waste the taxpayers time and money. R.T. knew he was going to run for Gov. so why run for reelection of Minneapolis? He should have been a responsible citizen.

He's hedging his bets. He knows the voters of the state aren't as stupid as the voters of Minneapolis. His being elected Governor is far from a done deal.

What a joke: Under his leadership use of force, corruption, law suits and federal investigation of Minneapolis officers assigned to the Gang Strike Force are at a historical high. If Rybak can not even run Minneapolis as a Mayor - How can he expect to run the State of Mineosta?

What a sleazeball. He doesn't announce his candidacy for Governor before the election because he knows that if he does then he becomes a lame duck and somebody else is elected. But if he fails in his bid to become Gov, then he has a cushy job to fall back on. In the meantime, he shirks his duties as Mayor to take his campaign to every corner of the state...on the taxpayer's dime, mind you. Isn't there something wrong with this picture, Minneapolitans?

Self serving goons is right, although I can't think of any DFL'er in the race that is much less of a goon than the others? When are both parties going to start putting up real candidates again?

What did we do to deserve this? I've been a good little girl (most of the time) all my life. So many candidates, with so much mediocrity. Maybe that's why everyone is looking for the new Ventura.
