I wasn't there, but have been to similar events and think it was overreaching of cops to cite folks for cheering at such a momentous occasion in their lives. We preach at kids to get an education then we can't even cheer when they reach a huge benchmark in it? Sounds petty and stupid to me. I could see if they were drunk/disorderly, but to stifle pride in ones family's accomplishment is assenine, and the cops who did this should be ashamed of themselves. We are living in a police state, and this is proof of it.
