.025. I am a contractor from the muskogee area. I have installed several of the patio covers from metals USA and haven't ever had one fall. A gutter drain got plugged one time. It put a dent in it where the post meets the gutter just due to the entire cover standing in 4" of water but it didn't come down. I have installed a few of the covers from ballews and didn't have a problem. They seemed to be very similar to the others that I use. I prefer the metals USA covers but don't see any problems with ballews. Are you sure it was installed correctly?

The gauge could be either .025, .032, .040 or 26 gauge steel, as Ballew's carries all of them. I have installed several and have never had an issue. All of their material is engineered out for different spans, so the selection of thickness of pans would be dictated by the engineering. If the cover is the standard white, bronze or ivory, it could be either gauge. If the cover is brown, gray, clay or black, it is .032. I would question the installation method.
