This is not the wild west or downtown Baghdad. Leave the weapons out of the classroom. College shootings are not a common occurance. Get real.

let people carry..there might not be alot of school shootings, but when you have a loved one that dies in a shooting like VT, you will think differently. i thought the same as bob, but then it happened, and i have changed my views.

we should force everyone above the age of 18 to carry a gun...loaded with high powered hollow points...oh why bother with 18...we should go with...15.

As a teacher I feel its time that we do something to protect the students that we teach. The training and background checks are rigous. FBI,SLED, and testing to get your CWP. Parents expects us to take care of their childern and being armed is just anough tool other than locking your door and getting under a table. Give me a fighting chance other than being a sitting target.

Heck yeah! I'm all for it! There's a reason why all these killings take place in liberal-gun free zones b/c they know no one will shoot back.

Exercise those 2nd amendment rights!

SMMFH @ S. Carolina. it seems to me this State's leaders can't write laws themselves. Every time you look around they are playing copycat. AKA COPYCAT LAWMAKERS

Guess what folks-this is South Carolina,we have almost the worst schools in the entire country,so,spelling and grammar probably are'nt going to be what they should be.Also, sometimes, you just hit the wrong key and fail to spell check before a post. So,lighten up people,as long as you know what people mean in a post, that's what matters.

Allowing CWP in schools and State buildings will only make us saffer. How long do you actually think it would take a cop to get where you are reading this right now if you called 911?

Well I see that you don't either.
Check your own spelling.

People, enough with picking on spelling errors. People type fast on these forums and do not spell check. If all you can do is pick at someone's typos you don't need to be on here.

Awesome idea! SLED deems me safe enough to carry concealed in public - why do college campuses consider me dangerous when I step foot on campus?

Because they are run by a bunch of cowardly liberals who piss themselves at the sight of a weapon.

Are you kidding? I totally agree with people being allowed to carry a concealed weapon...but enough is enough! NO WEAPONS belong in schools--period...no matter who carries them. Places have to have rules, and just because some people break them, it is no reason to throw the rule out, or make it legal to break it...puhlease. Where is the common sense in this?
