Maybe not. It could just be that she was looking out for the SAFETY of the officers. |

You hit it, Jack. Her only concern was money, never about safety. She made that plain time after time. This woman was, and IS, a moron.

1 There are a few things that can be done, if the safety of officers during a pursuit is a real concern. Number one; we must demand continual and frequent random drug and alcohol testing of any officer who has the potential of being involved in a high speed pursuit.(and, all other officers, for that matter). Cops who are under the influence of either drugs or alcohol, or both, are at a much higher risk of being involved in an accident during a high speed pursuit. It is not uncommon for a cop to be out drinking heavily into the early morning hours; and then report to duty at 7:00am. Clearly, a cop such as that is a public menace when behind the wheel of a cruiser. We must demand frequent and routine stress tests for any cop who has the potential of being involved in a high speed pursuit (and, all other officers, for that matter). Cops who have a below normal ability to handle stress should never be allowed to have the potential of being involved in a high speed pursuit. They should go through mandatory stress management training; and not be allowed to operate a cruiser. If they are unable to properly handle stress after going through stress management training, they should be removed 100% from all police work. Cops need to clearly understand exactly what speed is proper while responding to any incident. Many cops live for these high speed pursuits. And, it has been proven that they can actually get addicted to the adrenalin that is released during a high speed pursuit. The problem is that many cops lack the common sense to operate a cruiser safely at a high speed. They simply turn on the blue lights and they plant their right foot all the way to the floorboards on the gas pedal, as they hope for the best. They pay little mind to their surroundings including other vehicles on the road or the fact that they may be in a heavily congested area. Obviously, their lack of judgement leads to many of the accidents. The answer, of course, is letting Civilian Review Boards review the circumstances that lead up to the high speed pursuit, as well as the speeds obtained during the pusuit, to determine of proper judgement was used by any officers involved in the pursuit. The system that is currently in place to review high speed pursuits is grossly flawed. The police themselves are reviewing their own driving and their own judgement. Needless to say, 99.999% of the time decide they report back that all officers used proper judgement during the pursuit. This is shear nonsense, and should no longer be tolerated by the general public. Again, there are a few things that can and should happen now; if officer safety is truly a concern.
