New CBS Poll

And it looks like 72% of them say Republicans own this and it should stop it.

But you were quite sure of a Romney win and though the polls were rigged.

Fully 72 percent of Americans disapprove of shutting down the federal government over differences on the Affordable Care Act...
...Two-thirds (66 percent) of Americans think any agreement on the budget should be kept separate from discussions on the health care law. Twenty-six percent (including slightly more than half of Republicans) think any budget agreement should also cut off funding for the law.

...Americans disapprove of how both sides are handling the budget negotiations, but more disapprove of congressional Republicans (72 percent) than President Obama and the Democrats in Congress (61 percent).

In the current budget debate, Americans think President Obama and the Democrats (48 percent) are more concerned than the Republicans in Congress (37 percent) about doing what is best for their family.

More generally, most Americans (61 percent) think congressional Republicans oppose the policies proposed by Barack Obama and the Democrats mostly to stop Democrats from gaining political advantage rather than because of a disagreement over policy. Americans are divided (47 percent to 43 percent) when considering why the president and Democrats oppose Republican policies.

...Republicans in Congress receive more of the blame for the shutdown: 44 percent of Americans blame them, while 35 percent put more blame on President Obama and the Democrats in Congress.this stinkin mess.
Yep.

Still not changing anything.

What the insurance companies are against is being told who they have to cover, but you won't admit to that because it would make them look bad. So they go behind our backs and fund elections that will back there ideals, EASY MONEY!

They haven't yet. That is the numbers that the Obama Administration has estimated that would be covered, only time will tell.

You could be right on your first statement but that still does not answer why when the healthcare bill first started and we were led to believe it would be government ran why wasn't the health insurance company fighting it or did they already know about the open exchange and that they would be benefiting in the long run.

The insurance companies were against it when Obama wanting a public option( government ran insurance) when it was removed from the bill. Life was much better for the insurance companies. The insurance companies are in the Democrats pockets also, that is why the public option of the bill was scrapped.

A Federal Budget Crisis Months in the Planning

By SHERYL GAY STOLBERG and MIKE McINTIRE

Published: October 5, 2013

WASHINGTON — Shortly after President Obama started his second term, a loose-knit coalition of conservative activists led by former Attorney General Edwin Meese III gathered in the capital to plot strategy. Their push to repeal Mr. Obama’s health care law was going nowhere, and they desperately needed a new plan.

Out of that session, held one morning in a location the members insist on keeping secret, came a little-noticed “blueprint to defunding Obamacare,” signed by Mr. Meese and leaders of more than three
dozen conservative groups.

It articulated a take-no-prisoners legislative strategy that had long percolated in conservative circles: that Republicans could derail the health care overhaul if conservative lawmakers were willing to push fellow Republicans — including their cautious leaders — into cutting off financing for the entire federal government.

“We felt very strongly at the start of this year that the House needed to use the power of the purse,” said one coalition member, Michael A. Needham, who runs Heritage Action for America, the political arm of the Heritage Foundation.“At least at Heritage Action, we felt very strongly from the start that this was a fight that we were going to pick.”

Continues.
