I hear about all these places that are laying people off but the company I work for was never in the news when it laid people off last month. Is it only the ones that give a report to the media that are reported on???

A joke or not, Halliburton is one of the best companies to work for in this area. I have been working there for the past two months and can't describe the pay and health coverage I have for my family. 90% that got laid off where lazy and didn't come to work or had enough time in with the company to get a FREE college education.

Many of the people that were laid off will get anywhere between $6oo - $800 a WEEK unemployment benefits with Halliburtons cobra insurance costing a mere $90 - $175 month for health, vision, and dental coverage. Just because Halliburton laid off their employees, doesn't mean their not still taken care of them.

So why is the state using stimulus money to build a new interchange to benefit Haliburton with a private golf club? Seems like Senator Coburn should be looking into this. How is it that the people of poor parts of the state and the country wind up paying for a new $5 million interchange to benefit the private golf club development backed by some of the richest people around and Haliburton?

Hey Choke-la-homa,get on the net and go to yahoo finance see what your great Halliburton CEO got for his 2008 bonus, while they layoff good people. Yes I know some are dead beats, But you go ahead and work for them for 20 years and when you are thinking about retireing they boot you to the street. Then get back on here and tell everyone how you feel.
