A new home for police officers....Great , I guess HELL has some openings with Pig Rader to move in first. Although there was some justice in them currently being in the basement at City Hall. They are mostly bottom feeders in the department. Scumbags...and Pig Raider, the big prick, wife beater, and sex predator will feel right at home in Hell. As far as new businesses in Dunbar, only am embecile will solicit any business in Dunbar until the police force and city council is cleaned out and replaced with decent human beings. Dunbar cops hauled 2 of my friends to jail over less than 3 grams of marijuana each, in one baggie, for personal use. They each had to stay the entire night in jail. Less than 14 grams of marijuana in West Virginia is an unconditional release, and you should not be jailed. But they were. Me personally I would have shut the hell up and demanded a lawyer. But this just goes to show that the police have no respect for the law whatsoever, and instead of following it they find ways to try to work around it. Disgusting, get a real job you scumbags.

Don't think your helping your argument with people who use illegal drugs no matter how small the amount.

Under 14 grams is a misdemeanor, doesn't meant you can't go to jail for it

These kids had no criminal record whatsoever. We have what is known as an unconditional release for first time offenders caught with 14 grams of marijuana or less.

That applies to later in court after a set period of time if they don't commit any other crimes and it's not called "unconditional release" doesn't mean they can't go to jail when they are first arrested

Any jailable offense including Simple possession does not trigger a conditional discharge, magistrates just tend for a first offense under 407 of that same code release the subject who pleads no contest or guilty pays his fine plus court cost, pending an expungement in six months. You can still go to jail for it, until you can be arraigned and you can be sentenced and I have seen this, the full 6 months, less than 15 grams is only simple possession and over can be charged as possession with intent. Please don't misguide people, state the facts not what you interpret it to be.

Under 60A-4-407, a person charged with first offense possession of marijuana is entitled to have the disposition of his or her case postponed for six months of probation. If completed successfully, the charge will be dismissed and can be expunged.

Yeah. Also it is 14 grams, not 15. "Please do not misinform."
