Foul odor at 234/95 interchange

Has anybody notice how foul the air smells while on 95 around the 234 interchange?

Oh God yes. It smells like bad eggs. It's been like that for a few days, what the hell is it?

smells like pesticides or insecticides mixed with rotten eggs.. I smell it down main st by the town hall. Maybe it's from the dump? Or a sewer is broken..

I thought that dump nearest to 95 was only for rocks and dirt type debris?

the smell is coming from potomac landfill but they aren't supposed to take anything like trash, or anything perishable.. it was so bad this morning i almost vomited.. i don't remember ever smelling it before, or during any other part of the day..

Honestly it smells like a mushroom farm. They weere everywhere where I grew up and that's exactly what they smell like

I live in the area and the smell is intermittent in nature. I left my window open last night, but had to close it around 2am. The smell was really strong and harsh in my throat. Made me sick. I wish someone can find the real cause. Definitely not mushroom. Is there any drilling going on in that area? Or the quarry?

Has anyone thought about that smell could be coming from sewage? That trailor park right there off 234 had a lot of damage caused by flooding. Is it possible we are smelling their crap?

I drive it everyday and its got the be sewage, and it has got to be unhealthy to breath. This is coming from a guy with 20 years pumping sewage into a big truck for a living.

The odor returned last night around 2:30am. There was no odor all weekend long. Definitely rules our sewage. Plus there is a noticeable machinery noise from somewhere. Who does someone report these kind of things to? EPA? Prince William County government?

I heard it was a paper mill. My brother says it takes hi an extra 25 minutes to get home. He stops at the closest autozone for a pinetree air freshener to suck on.

I called the Environmental office...spoke to persons in both offices where you are given Option 1 or Option 2. Both said they are not the office to speak with but could not tell me who to call. Denise did tell me that there was an article in the paper not too long ago and that Prince William County is aware of the problem.
Does anyone have a copy of that article and does anyone know what office you would call to find out what that foul odor really is and what if anything is being done to correct it. So far...I know it has been over two weeks...rotten eggs...i don't think so!!!

I don't know what's causing the smell, but my grass has never been greener and my garden is kicking out 50 pound tomatoes!

The smell is killing me every night after dark around 10 or later it is the worst...I Rotten Eggs a understatement it smells like OLD CHICKEN (yuck)! how is this even possible for a city or a town to smell like this. I live in Dumfries so I get a wift of this horrible crap everyday....I am moving!
