It doesn't hurt that the owner will make a gazillion dollars.
But ... MAYBE it's construction waste. How about de-construction waste, like products containing lead, asbestos, etc. etc. I couldn't live there! I remember Love Canal.

Linda, I was thinking along the same lines. Yes, they can haul away any debris, building material, other junk, etc., but what about anything that's seeped into the soil? They'd better do some really serious soil and other environmental testing before building ANYTHING on that site.(of course if millions of dollars are involved, I'm sure the people who stand to make the money won't look TOO closely at whether the environment is dangerous or not)
