Sadly to say though that this has happened all too often; in answer to 'above 2bad' I believe that they do try to weed out the bad ones, but some slip through the cracks -- and those are only the ones we actually HEAR about; i do believe though that NO COP wants a bad one on the force --especially a sexual predator. Somewhere down the road he'll get it back. It awful for the poor girl and I hope she gets the support and counseling that she will need.

How does a polygraph test determine whether or not a person is going to really really really, need some punani in the FUTURE?

Heck, cops need loving too! Don't be so judgemental.

While we're here talking about polygraphs, does anyone know why they are generally not admissible in a court of law?

Because if they were admissible, cops would have to take one before testifying...or testilying.

Sincere Thanks goes out to Detective Mccoy and the others who came along and prevented this thing from going any further. I hope that this intervention was the thing that was needed for Officer Barksdale to realize that he was rescued from the storm. The relationship was an abusive one and Praise goes out to the ex girlfriend for not going along quietly. You go girl. Ladies "Listen" She had the strength to get out. What is keeping you there. Think about it. He should spend his days trying to better himself instead of thinking about revenge.

Very sad ending for a police officer who performed excelletly on the job! I had the opportunity to work this officer more than once, and he made a sadly immature decision to destroy a wonderful legacy as a public servant. Can't judge a book by its cover!
