I knew Marge Hagen, i did a brief stint in prison, used the time to get back on track, and saw what Marge was really like. Anyone who gets in her way, beware, as she was treacherous even locked up!

Jury members son

My step mom was on Marjories jury in Hastings Minnesota for the murder trial. My mom now says she believes finding Marjorie innocent back then was a mistake. We even had Marjorie over to dinner after the trial ended in Rosemount MN. At the time I was in senior high and everyone in town knew my mom was one of the jurors-and many jury members still keep in touch even to this day.

Well, love her or hate her, she is one unforgettable character. I have been following the story for over 30 years now. There are huge holes in the story and much hearsay. The part I find unbelievable, if she indeed, planned the murder of her mother - not once, did her husband ever implicate her! Not even when she dumped him! And to his dying day, he claimed he was innocent of the murders. If I was part of the crime, I would be worried like heck he would squeal on me! She didn't care. He never pointed the finger at her, even after he knew she couldn't be recharged with the murder again. Does anyone know exactly what she was charged with in March? And if there has been a trial date set?

Roger was an alcoholc who suffered blackouts and was himself a sociopath, albeit much less than Margorie. It is no surprise he actually couldn't or claimed he couldn't remember the event. If he was in a drinking binge with blackout periods.. he would think he was innocent. The evidence shows otherwise though. It's just unfortunate that what is evidence doesn't always get presented properly in a trial. Such are the foibles of the justice system that lets people like Marjorie get away with murder... times 4.

I think it was for fraud from trying to cash a check for over eleven thousand dollars that belonged to a gentleman friend of hers that had passed and had supposedly been cremated.

I just saw a segment of the Judge Hatchett show on TV (Feb. 8, 2008), and thought the plaintiff looked a lot like Marjorie Congdon. Acted a lot like her, too. Does anyone know if it was?

My mother who was born in 1927 told me that Marjorie was in trouble long before the murders in Duluth. The woman is pure evil. Her punishment is that she will never have what she is so greedy to get. I hope they put her away for a reasonable amount of time this time. One would think at her age she'd be too old to be this much trouble, but apparently not. She richly deserves to be behind bars for what ever is left of her life. You can bet she is guilty of a lot more then she has ever been convicted of.
