I believe a person is innocent until proven guilty. It's very unfortunate that an innocent life was taken but there are underlying issues that the media doesn't expose... because this is a federal case under investigation they will only tell you so much. We all don't know the "true story" and in time we will.
And NO, Antonia from Chama I don't think they are serving steak in jail... typical "Chama"...

I feel very sad for the little boy. My heart breaks because there was no one to help him. The little boy should never have been returned to that home. Who ever thought that it was a good idea to keep a child in a home where abuse was happening is a good example of case workers who only see the child as another job or file and not as a child who has no one to watch out for them. I don't think that the "system" checked on him after they left him there.

This website is straight BS!!! You people don't know the story to be judging just by what locals say! They don't know the story either, they just say what they think is right to get to the top of the list. Yes, things like child abuse is at high risk and its a terrible thing to witness but my brother is innocent, he wouldn't hurt a fly!! This has nothing to do with standing up for my brother, I know the truth of the story and I can say that he is NOT GUILTY!!!! The person to point the finger to is the mother!!!! Hearless bxtch when her son past on!!!! Now tell me what you think about that!!!! Shes out like nothing has happened and my brother is in jail for innocence!! All i can say is pray for my brother and hope they get the real accuser soon!!! RIP Treston!!!

I know the case. The little boy was in foster care before his "father" got custody of him. The system didn't work again. Another dangerous person was handed a young life to care for and now that life is over. This man needs to be punished and the people and the officials need to be delt with harshly. This is just another example of New Mexico's corruption and inability to prioritize. A child is dead, and the FBI will not punish him to the degree that is needed.

I totally agree with you. Situations like this just break my heart. I have a 4 year old grandson and I can't imagine how anyone could hurt such innocent babies. I don't think these beasts that hurt children deserve to walk the face of this earth. I hope they get what's coming to them, I hope they burn in hell and live hell here on earth. I believe any eye for an eye, what he did to this child should be done to him. I hope the people who put this baby back into the father's hands will learn from this and also live with the guilt for the rest of their life.

I think that Jay Paiz jr. was miss understood and the case should have been more looked into then it was. And all you HATERS out there that think this guy is guilty have not heard the whole story. This also should not reflect on the Jicarilla Apache Tribe. RIP baby Treston Paiz.

The boy was in the father's custody so he obviously knows who abused him. The article said he had bruises that were in different stages of healing which proves he had been abused for quite some time, so someone knew he was getting abused by someone and didn't report it. Which makes them just as guilty.

I agree with this, back in Nov 2005, don't know if anyone remembers the story of a Dulce native killing his own father in Rio Rancho, NM. Well the outcome of this story was all the son got was 2-5 years in prison for self-defense and insanity. I know both the son and father. More so the father, he was a good man to everyone. The investigators DID NOT FULLY INVESTIGATE this incident and the son got off with 2-5 yrs and now where is the father-DEAD!! Anyways, during the time the son left the house and when the police found him, the son had enough time to change his cloths and throw them somewhere. Now the investigator never did check into where the son left his cloths at, because he showed up at the hospital with clean cloths, while he left his father pool of blood at the residence all cut up and with his neck slashed. Now tell me this is self-defense and insanity. VICE VERSA, but its shows how Fck'd up the New Mexico Court System is. I strongly believe, EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS, REGARDLESS IF YOU ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR YOUR OWN SHITTY DECISIONS.
hey what ever you have said you are lying... i know what had happened. and i'm pretty sure that if it were you, you should be in my brohers place. in his shoes and see how it feels, not your fault.huh? i'm pretty sure that you will be telling everybody that it wasn't ur fault. i know it wasn't his fault.... all ya's all haterz. it not very nice talking stuff about my brother without knowing the whole story. i know the story so quit ur talking.
