I worked at the regional jail in abingdon from the time it opened till Aug 2007 and yes there is a major buddy system going on there. Hell the deputy super intendent had never even sat foot in a jail nor did any type of law enforcement prior to coming there. It is a crooked and corupt bunch with alot of former DOC people who think that just because someone is locked up its ok to beat the hell out of them. Dont get me wrong there are some decent people and some decent supervisors but they are few and far between. If you want a job there think twice about what your getting yourself into the job is decent and the pay isnt bad for the area but half of your coworkers at least in the abingdon facility belong in the jail not running it I could go on and on about the unjustified use of force BS incident reports supervisors who couldnt find there ass with both hands and a map especially CPT Lockhart who got where he is by riding his daddys coattails in russell county long story short there are a lot of things that go on at that jail that are swept under the rug.

If people had good work ethics these days more people would get hired at good jobs. Some people work hard to get out of work. I dont believe there is a "good ole boy" clique at the regional jail. I believe if you don't do yor job you get fired and that is exactly what should happen to you if you dont do your work. What happened to going the extra mile at work to make sure your doing a good job? Nobody does that anymore. If you have applied several times and they don't hire you, then most likely its because of something they dont like about you. Dont blame them for your dumbness.

Sharon I can tell you I was there from the begining and the good ole boy system is alive and well how do you think i got my job there. I dont know of to many people being fired for being lazy and not doing their job usally when someone is fired its kept very hush hush and more times than not has somthing to do with what goes on behind the scenes for example a certain receptionist who was moved to records then fired for what ever reason was told that if she valued her husbands position she would not speak of anything that she may have heard now tell me thats not shady kinda funny how it happened shortly after that patrick woman whom was fired from the washco sheriffs office for screwing the chief deputy was appointed to operations LT and I wonder how she landed that title you be the judge

Here is a great solution to the whole problem. If they don't have jails to house the convicts then build more jails. This creates jobs both during the construction and operation. These additional jobs spark the economy and add to the tax revenue. Society gets the felons off the streets. Where's the down side?

Are you kidding me?
len.- license
chid- child
dec- Dec.
gail- jail
Also, the content of this one sentence was enough to make 5 or 6. You did not capitalize the first I and you did not put any spaces after your punctuation. What an idiot.
