Its supposed to be located in the old foodlion building if the building passes inpection. Since its been vacant 4+ years it has some major deterioration and needs renovation before anything can be located in the building.

I hope it gives some competition for food city. Maybe the prices will go down to a decent price. No competition and you can charge whatever you want and if you want to eat then you have to pay the price.

I sure hope this is true. We need to boycott food city until they bring our prices down to one of the lower tiers. They have us at the highest level bec we have no other place to shop.

I've been to another Priceless Foods before. It's similar to a Save-A-Lot, as a limited selection grocer that focuses on staples. Probably not a place you could get all your shopping done though. They're owned by Houchens out of central kentucky, the same chain that owns save-a-lot and IGA (other than Payless) in the tri-cities, southwest virginia, and east kentucky areas and actually a much larger chain than food city with about 4x as many locations. They supposedly list prices at their cost, and add 10% plus tax to the grocery bill when you checkout.

Very happy to have another option but I wouldn't get your hopes up that much over prices, they're still attempting to make a profit too. Food prices have just gone up over the country over the past few years and that's why prices are high. They seemed comparable to food city to us. A few things were a little less, usually by a few cents and a few things were a little more expensive by a few cents. But very good to have another option, get a few more jobs, and also we won't have to hear the foolish conspiracy theory talk about food city pricing tiers as the reason why food prices have gone up.
