Eight resumes were submitted by applicants for superintendent. Jessee did not say how many of the eight candidates would be interviewed by the board. He did not rule out the possibility of "giving interim Superintendent John Ferguson the job".

The board has to go behind closed doors anytime personnel matters are discussed. If you haven't noticed, the board has been in the process of discussing the appointment of a new superintendent which involves many "closed door meetings". As Chairman, Mr. Jessee has to call those meetings, so he's just doing his job. The ignorance of some people amaze me. Before you shoot your mouth off, you should know the facts behind what you're talking about.
