James Kay Jessee the School Board Chairman

Has announced that three people have submitted resumes for the Superintendent of schools. He says that they are strong candidates. Just think how many strong candidates they could have had if they had advertised in the news media and not just the SCPS Web site. This shows that they want to control those who apply. He also said that several board members have publicly praised JF's work and have not ruled out the possibility of giving him the position. How can you "give" someone a position that did not recieve any votes at this same time last year and the person that you "gave" the position to lasted four months. That doesn't say much for your decisions and as School Board Chairman it shows a lack of leadership on your part. Voters, you need to call Mr. Jessee and express your concerns with his leadership and the job that he is doing. If you disagree with his performance you need to tell him that he will not have your vote in Nov. and if no one else is running you will do a write-in candidate. Explain to him we don't want a "yes man" school board member or Superintendent. ow is the time to make your voice heard. If you don't make these calls and request don't complain after the choice is made.

Kay Jessee did an interview for the Super's job and did not even check the refferences on the application. What does that say about the board and the chairman? And we have people of this type in charge of our education? What a joke!!!!
