I noticed most people below age thirty in Dubuque are walking around in a daze and they arent friendly. Are Dubuque youing people drug addicts or beer drinkers? IWe know people drink too much beer here and gorge themselves on foood because were bored to tears.Be friendlier and wont feel so bored.Beer dulls the brains. Cheese can even clog the thinking friendly processes. Are we all too many germans?

Dear Sirs, my dauther, who is 17 yrs, is going to live in a village close to Dubuque. She will study 2 semesters as an exchange student. I am a little scarred with these comments. Dubuque seemed to me a quiet city, not to mention its many parks and recreations areas.
Any comments?
Best regards
Claudio Santos

Dubuque used to be one of the safest cities in the midwest, but is it any more? I don't think so. Ever since someone got the bright idea that we needed more diversity it has changed. I am not prejudice. I have 2 grandchildren who are half black and I love them with all my heart, but did they bring nice people here or did they bring gangs and people who sell drugs? This latest stabbing that took place on Monday. I hear that there were a lot of young black men running around wearing red. Doesn't color have something to do with gangs? I don't know for sure but that is what I have heard. Thank you city cousel so much for your diversity. I think we were all better off before you decided to shove diversity down our throats.

Mr. Santos There are some areas that require a bit more safety at night. But overall Dubuque is a beautiful city. The city council wants more diversity so we have more people we are not used to seeing. But as I think People are just people no matter what color. I believe she will love Dubuque.

Some of the new people are in gangs and that rests with the Mayor and council. They will not address it so you have to be very careful at night in the areas that are bad. But as for me I`ll never leave Dubuque. I love this town and area. I lived in East Dubuque for 25 yrs and I still call myself Dubuquer.

Where is Anderson? Dubuque is like any city, good areas and a few bad areas. But there is not any other place I want to be. Not even Anderson. Do you visit or have friends or relatives living here? Usually when someone from afar makes a comment like yours these questions should be answered. Makes us nimrods understand you squareheads better.

Mr. Santos, I am not sure if your daughter has come to this area yet or not. I have lived in the International Community for years but have returned back to this DBQ area because of the beautiful location and SAFE community.

The people that have expressed concerns about safety have NEVER experienced serious crimes and are disturbed by the recent arrival. This area does not need special Police like the (NPSF) or the BOPE.

A good reference for information about DBQ is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubuque,_Iowa
I am sure your daughter will tell you of great locations and friendly people. Iowa is know for their friendly dispostion, even if you interpret these few cynics to be a sample of the population. I hope you get a chance to visit and enjoy the community yourself.

Ea y disfrutar Dubuque!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
