Please Join me in a Protest against the DAY of SILENCCE being held at the Dubuque Senior High School next Monday, April 25.
The annual "Day of Silence," a pro-homosexual event sponsored by a radical group called the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN), This student-organized event encourages students to remain silent for the entire the school day. GLSEN would like you to believe that the Day of Silence is about kindness and tolerance, but it is really about getting students to accept radical, destructive ideas about sexuality.
I have contacted the School Board and Administration. They appear to be endorsing this Radical Protest by allowing it to happen DURING Class room time.
You can contact them at the school or by email:

They will tell you it is about trying to stop Bullying.
Well, Can they not just STOP it - when it happens - do something. Does it matter who or why they are bullying? It is a push for the Gay Agenda, to force it upon our Children. Go to: for more info http://www.lc.org/index.cfm... |

Dubuquers: I have had a protracted confrontation from the Dubuque County School Board and Dubuque Senior High School about the Day Of Silence. We had an extended conversation via email including many of the Board Members, The Superintendent, and a few other School Board Employees.
My suggestion was that this group should NOT be allowed to protest during Classroom Educational Time Periods. They kept insisting that the protest was about ‘supporting the board policy of not Harassing and Bullying’. I would think that this is covered no matter who you are and would not need protesting. Therefor, we can only conclude that the event was to promote the Homosexual Lifestyle to the youth of Dubuque. Either way, it would be a disruption of the Classroom and the normal flow of question-answer and engaged conversation that education is all about. Eventually, I filed a Freedom Of Information Act request for all communication by the board and schools on this topic. I have put the information in a recap below: I believe that I did NOT receive ALL the communication as some of the emails that I sent/received with board members were not included as well as a few emails that were mentioned within were not included. |

Although, he would never respond to me, the Superintendent sent an email to members of the system more or less supporting the event and listed how they were to explain that it was ok to have in the school.
Then one of the Board members sends an internal memo that was interesting: I am sorry that I've not been able to check home email for the last few days and did not see the traffic regarding the above subject. I do feel compelled, at this point, to point out that, to the degree this email traffic continues to show up in all of our in boxes, it is "deliberation" by the Board and therefore a meeting in violation of our public meeting requirements. I have not sought legal counsel on this (can if necessary), so take it for what it is. It's my opinion, but I'm concerned we've crossed the line here. I also realize that some of this traffic was put back in our in boxes by the individual attempting to make a case for his position after individuals responded only to him with no one else copied. The result is the same The Super then wrote an email admonishing some of the members for the way they responded to me and reiterating that the Day of Silence was ONLY about calling attention to Harassment & Bullying. He further down plays my interest because I got my information from a Christian organization. Next: Super sends an email to the one board member that questioned the practice - very politely giving him a good one about freedom of speech and on and on. That member stands up to him arguing that it should NOT be included IN the classroom. Because, if we let a student-led initiative - a movement undoubtedly started by vocal adults, take precedence over the presentation of curriculum, then we've given in to the wishes of the minority. This will also probably snowball into other student-led movements. HIDDEN in all this: An email to the organization listing the Dubuque Schools as participating. No school within our district participates in the National Day of Silence. Please remove both .... from your Website. Through the information provided - I found that a few others called the schools and one other emailed. One women sent a note to the Hempstead simply asking if Hempstead participates and included a message from AFA. The principal - quite arrogantly responded that they did not participate, though in the past some students did to support school policy. But never to promote homosexuality. How absurd. Your website connection looks to be quite radical. She, boldly responded: I find it sad that you felt compelled to make the radical comment about the web site. your job is to answer my questions to the best of you abilities without personal bias. Though, I believe this simply means that the board and schools do not participate - that in the long run, they will still let the students do what they want. That is the END.... For Now. |

'Day Of Silence' PROTEST Walkout a Success!
The recent "Day of Silence" event promoting homosexuality was a bust at one Washington State high school thanks to the efforts of pro-family students, parents, and community leaders. The Day of Silence is promoted by the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN) as an event to draw attention to alleged persecution suffered by students who claim to be homosexual or confused about their gender. But Pastor Ken Hutcherson of Antioch Bible Church in Redmond, Washington, claims the event was actually designed by homosexual activists to promote their lifestyle to students. So Hutcherson worked with other parents in the area of his daughter's Mount Si High School to protest the event. Hutcherson and his wife purchased a half-page ad in the local newspaper urging concerned parents and Christians to join them in protest of the event. "Then the word went out," he explains. "It went out to my prayer warriors. And they prayed about it ... and last Friday [April 25], we had probably about 250 to 300 parents there," he contends. But parents were not the only ones opposed to an entire school day being used to promote a lifestyle the Bible declares to be immoral, says Hutcherson. "There were 638 kids out of 1,410 kids that didn't come to school that day," he remarks. In addition to 45 percent of the student body staying home on the Day of Silence, Hutcherson and other parents convinced the school board to give waivers to student athletes who did not want to be present during the pro-homosexual event. Those waivers allowed the athletes to skip school but still participate in sporting events held that school day. Eighty-five of the school's athletes took advantage of the waiver, and less than 200 of the school's 1,400 students actively participated in the Day of Silence activities. Hutcherson considers his protest of the homosexual event a "very big success." |
