Hey Tom - We purchased your vacuum and 2 air purifiers. We had problems with the vacuum the first time we used it. I have made 14 calls to the salesman, at least six to the store and even called and emailed the home office and I have heard very little. Kirk did call me back once but now that we want to return it he won't even take my calls. Why don't you talk to him and then you can call me? We have experienced nothing but horrid service from your company. This is from the salesman to the home office. You can bet I would not recommend anyone buying from your company.

I also bought the air purifiers a while ago. I did not notice much of a difference in the air quality in the house. I also bought the vacume cleaner that they sell. I have had the vacume for 7 years and it works great. I have had some warranty work done on it and A-1 covered the repairs for free or for a small price.
The only problem with the vacume repairs is if the rep. is not going to be in the area soon, you have to send the parts to them and wait for them to come back.(a week to 10 days).
Other than that the vacume works great. Overall I would give it a 9.

I received their "Play 3 Hands of Blackjack" card in today's paper in the Q.C. I supposedly have won $1,000. Nice if it were true! I'm not bothering to call about it because I don't want to buy an air purifier. I'm smart enough to know, my $1,000 winning would most likely be applied towards one of their products. What a scam.
Know what you mean i received the double blackjack game and won when i called she said i couldnt play cause i wasnt a homeowner and well they need to stop sending them out to everyone then.

I bought one of these things, and when the finance company called to verify my info (proper policy), I refused to confirm with them. The salesperson promised a follow-up visit to test the air after using it for two days, never showed, and wouldn't take my calls. The office said they'd send someone out, never came, then they stopped taking my calls too. So after 30 days passed, I was still using the machine in my home but not paying for it, because I refused to talk to the finance company, the salesperson FINALLY called back to ask me to either call the finance company or return the products. I asked when she'd be available to pick it up, she said that afternoon, but I said no, next week is better (just to keep it for free even longer!). When she came she gave all sorts of excuses for not answering our calls, calling back, and not making the promised follow-up visit. If any of you are thinking about purchasing this air purifier, consider doing what I was able to do: keep the machine for over a month (making sure to NOT answer when Aquafinance calls... and believe me, they call twice a day every day) and if the salesperson gives you shitty service, give it back. If they give you decent service and you like the machine, then finance it. A FEW NOTES: 1. They'll run your credit report- if you don't have good credit, they wont leave the machine with you. 2. We purchased ours on a Saturday, and the finance company was already closed, otherwise we'd have talked to them when the salesperson was still in our home. 3. I also kept the lifetime-air filter for my furnace for FREE. Overall, was happy with the product, but not the service, didn't have to pay a dime, and got a free air filter for my home, a free cheap MP3 player that doesn't work, and a free camera still in the box (that probably also doesn't work).

Ok, so the "Lifetime Air Furnace" didn't quite make it a year. It broke. SO GLAD I didn't actually pay for it.

I just wanted to say thank you. I called and setup an interview. There was no name on the help wanted ad. I then googled the name and found this. I truly do need a job but I'm not willing to go against my values to make money.

Wow. I got a 4 ACE's and a 3. I called for the heck of it and they pressed me for personal information I wouldn't give them, while assuring me I'd won one of the 6 listed prizes on the blackjack card. I'm sure it's the cheap digital camera or MP3 player, both of which probably came out of arcade machines. After the inquisition about my home ownership, marital status and income, I declined to have the product demo in my home. FYI..."No obligation required" doesn't mean, as they explained to me, "You don't have to buy." It means, NO OBLIGATION REQUIRED, including a 60-90 minute waste of time having a vacuum or filter system demo'd that you'd never be able to afford anyway. Their legal department must be pre-law students. I'd drop dead in my door if they told me I'd won $10k. But of course they don't carry the money with them, so I'd have to sit through the demo and then wait for the check to arrive....sure.

This business is a pyramid scam. Ur money is made by getting new recruits & whatever a new recruit sells u make money oFf their sells. If ur recruit recruits more people then u also make a percentage off of them, so if u work the business alone then all ur gonna make is $20 for demonstration & you may have to drive 75-100 miles for the appointment!!! Then they don't want to pay u for training that U HAVE 2 attend. The people that run the office r Very Rude & I personally did not like being called a liar. All I can say is this company has GALL cause they sure got some sorry folks representing them. Hope they don't plan on staying in business long. So if u want a good ream job this is the company that will give u good one so I highly recommend them
I am a manager and handle trainings at a local Filtropur distribution center.

And honestly, after reading your post, my head hurts. The grammatical inconsistencies and incorrectness of your babble would make me decide against hiring you if you came in my doors.

First of all, it is not a pyramid scheme. We have many new recruits that have moved up the corporate ladder in a matter of months. They earn close to my salary because of their hard work. I earn more due to running the office and training new recruits, but if they keep up the good work, they could easily surpass myself.

True, this kind of work is not for everyone. But then again, I could say the same thing about working at a fast food franchise, since that's not for me ;). I enjoy earning more than the average guy.

I had a young man here today demonstrating these products. I did not buy anything as the price was unbelievable. I decided to research on my own and am now very happy I did not buy anything.
The reviews I found were not the best but what shocks me are the answers from so-called employees or this manager "Nathan" that posted on this site. Shame on you for representing your company that way! If you are representing someone you believe in, the worst thing you can do is insult someone on a public forum.
Unfortunately posts from other employees are right along the same lines as this one. I would never deal with a company that endorses it's employees being disrespectful and extremely rude.
These companies pop up all the time under different entities. My advice....don't let them in your home.

I have an interview for this place tomorrow. They wouldn't give me any information. They just told me to come in. I use to work for a business that sold Kirby's and you only got paid off of commission. I'm not sure I want to go through that again. I did make some money but I had to work my butt off and I never got time with my son. I need to know more about this place! Help help help!

this company is an amazing opportunity and the money is definitely there..although it's not just handed to you which is what everyone is expecting..sorry people but you have to work for it. So many people give us a bad rep.and typically these complaints come from the ones who didn't put any effort towards this job my advice to them is instead of criticizing the company how about take a look at yourself. Another common issue I noticed on here is the cards we send out..it's a safer and more effective method than knocking on random doors, you can't trust anyone that's why we ask for that information when you call in the card they tell you receive your prize in return of looking at our system.. which yes is up there in price but also is made with definite quality and built to the warranty. This company has given me so much in return and I'm tired of lazy people who don't put forth any effort giving us a bad name. that is all

So Jessica, you must be the same Jessica about which I posted in an earlier comment. If not, I apologize. If so, I wanted to point out that I enjoyed seeing your thong throughout your hour long demonstration, however my wife mentioned to me that she saw me looking. Oh, and your customer service skills are very much lacking.

Our Sales representative NEVER said A1 Allergy had been in business for over 80 years but that the product manufacturer had been. He was very polite and helpful. I have notice a huge difference in the air quality in my home as I am an asthma sufferer. I love the Majestic (which is referred to as the vacuum cleaner by many here). The salesman has cleaned a small section on my hardwood floors to show how the dirt is just pressed down and not actually clean. I am a skeptic when it comes to this stuff but the next day I used my Wet Swiffer to clean a spill in that same area. I used a clean pad and when I looked at it, there was no dirt on the pad. I then went to another section which the salesman had not cleaned and went over it with the Swiffer, when I looked at the pad, it was dirty. That sold me. We called the salesman and asked him to please deliver us both units.

I am very happy. The warranty well exceeds my expectations. Kirby has been brought up, and I had one of those as well. They cost over $1,000.00 and are very good cleaners; however, I found out after it was too late that you have to take them yearly to a authorized dealer for cleaning and maintenance which cost around $100.00 or higher in order to keep the Kirby in good working order. I am not bashing Kirby but making a point, if you want something that will work and last, it costs money. You can buy you a cheap cleaner and replace it yearly or spend more, keep it maintenanced and have something that will last for a long time.
As the old saying goes "You get what you pay for".

What I see a lot on this post is a lot of people who want something for free and have never really tried the product. As with anything (Kirby included) to get financing, you have to complete the credit application which needs personal information.

Here is the actual company who manufactures the purifier and cleaner. Acutally taken from their web page. It also backs up the FDA approval and doctor recommendation from a college.

Health-Mor, an HMI Industries Inc. Company, specializes in the manufacturing of the FILTERQUEEN® Indoor Air Quality System. The FILTERQUEEN® System consists of the Majestic® surface cleaner and the Defender® room air cleaner. These high-quality products are used to remove both surface and airborne allergens, dirt, and dust from home interiors.
For over 80 years, FILTERQUEEN® products have been sold exclusively through direct, in-home sales. This channel of distribution offers a greater level of customer service, a more complete presentation of the products' benefits and convenience to the customer. Today there is a network of independent FILTERQUEEN® Distributors throughout the United States, Canada, and over forty other countries worldwide.

Health-Mor is a recipient of The Direct Selling Association's (DSA) prestigious "Education for Life" award. This award recognizes companies in the direct selling industry that go beyond just sales and training. These award-winning companies educate employees with skills they can use in life such as ethical, moral, and legal standards.

For someone who has taken the time to defend the company they work for, you sure are a bad speller. This is serious money to spend and deserves a little integrity from it's sponsors.
