Telemed abortions: Safe, legal and a choice

Jan 16, 2011 Full story: Telegraph Herald 184

It's been less than a month since Planned Parenthood of the Heartland began working toward a merger with Planned Parenthood of East Central Iowa, and opponents in Dubuque already are talking about limiting much-needed medical services to women in their community.

No, the position is that no z/e/f, expected or unexpected, wanted or unwanted, has -MORE- rights than any woman.
Being helpless and at the mercy of his mother means he has no rights or value of his own.

Just what value or rights does an unwanted fetus have to pro choicers? Can't wait to hear your attractive answer.
The same exact rights as a wanted fetus. Which, from a legal perspective, are 'none at all'; the law only recognizes rights of entities recognized as persons, and z/e/fs are not. From a moral/ethical/philosophical/an y-al position, are the same exact rights as any born person - which does NOT include the right to violate another's bodily integrity without their consent.

What have rights to do with this? Let's see some of this 'documentation' then. I want to see where PCers are saying "a fetus is nothing".
"I don't have to be a mind reader."
No, but you DO need to be able to read.
"An unplanned pregnancy is not the same as an unwanted pregnancy, is it. Bring out the dictionary again."
Did I say it was?
"As you have displayed in the past, anyone who disagrees with you is arrogant and stupid. SOS"
No, only those who are arrogant and stupid, and that has nothing to do with their disagreement.
Tell me if this isn't total disregard for the fetus.

"The practice of abortion is unrelated to to status of the fetus, it totally hinges on the aspirations and needs of the woman." Joyce Arthur PCAN

If you can't see that the fetus is considered non entity, I'm sure others can.

I used the term unwanted pregnancy and in replying to me, you used unplanned. Maybe that was a slip on your part.

Arrogant and stupid are words you use often when you run out of cogent arguments.

I guess that is why we expect Moms to protect their young. Too bad they don't. In some cases their moms are their biggest and cruelist enemy.

That would only be true if I were using those words INSTEAD of making an argument. I can do both at once.

Deflection, you can't prove your point. I get it. Your interpretation of what someone else means, is not proof that that's what they mean.

OK so there is some secret meaning in what she wrote that I don't understand. She is the head of the pro choice action network and she doesn't mean what she writes. You do have to have stupendous interpertive skills to know what the hell pro choicers are talking about when they can't even understand each other.

Yes. Mothers who abuse their kids, or ignore abuse in favor of preserving the family peace/a friendship/their relationship, or who kill their kids are truly their children's biggest enemy.

Oh, I'm sorry, was that meant to be an oblique remark about abortion?

I never said she doesn't mean what she writes. You are simply reading into it things that just aren't there.

Good little inky. That's why abortion isn't murder and a fetus is not a baby. You can learn!
Yep.

You forgot the ones that sell their children to other's for a few hours of sex, and the ones that strap them in car seats and drive them into the river. The ones that drown them in bathtubs. The ones that refuse to feed them or give them water, the ones that let them lay in their own feces, the ones that let them die of sepsis from their bed sores, the ones that lock them in closets so they can go "party?" The ones that put them in bathtubs with boiling water because they peed. The ones putting lit cigarettes on their skin to "teach em a lesson."

Oh, I am sorry, what was someone was saying about abortion?

Amazig how many sicko "mothers" are out there. But remember, according to the PL extremists, ANY life for a child, no matter how horrific, is better than no life at all.

They don't seem to care about the CHILDREN being horribly abused and/or then killed by mothers who obviously NEVER wanted their children in the first place. Only the fetuses matter. After they become children, the PL nutjobs couldn't care less what happens to them.

Why on earth after a woman went through so much pain and effort to give birth would you shove an infant back into the womb?
