I find it very interesting, but a serious mark of our society today that in 2007, when I offered free homeopathic medicine to anyone suffering trauma from the VA tech incident that I got absolutely no mention at all in the press or on the news. But something they can report that is bad, and a Channel 7 news van is outside my office the next day. I give God the credit for what is happening, through the expert and caring work of my lawyer, John Lichtenstein of Roanoke Virginia. Good shall prevail over evil. God is in control. He has prepared me for this trial all of my life. For the rest of the story, please follow up with me after May 15. My office will continue to be open.

You pleaded GUILTY. YOU commited a crime. Of course this is news. As I physician I serve the community in many ways (teach EMT's, ACLS, serve as medical director with the local EMS, etc). I don't expect to see this in the news, nor do I expect that this should give me a free pass should I commit a crime and plead guilty to such.

As a patient of you're for many year and not for pain medication, you stole just like any other thief, you stole from me. Back in late January of this year I came to your office with a severe sore throat, you look at it and said it doesn't look to bad, never done a streapt throat swab, never gave me any antibotics, when going to the ER later I had strep throat. i also know you bill medicare during this two years of stealing, for a visit I didn't have but I didn't say anything. Your pain management is the cause of many overdose deaths in Pulaski, because a lot of the drugs are sold, and you know. As long as the cash kept coming in. Now you expect God to help, he will, until you got caught I never once heard you mention God. You are disgrace to your profession and should not be allow to practice. You should spend time in jail just like the other covicted of stealing. i should have changed doctors years ago,

My grandmother really liked Dr. Cheek a lot. We always had a problem with getting Granny to like a doctor and when she met Dr. Cheek she felt at ease with her. At 87 yrs this was no easy task. I know that she committed a crime and should be punished as anyone else, but at the same time she must have a good heart to care for the elderly and make them feel relaxed.

Sorry you feel the way you do, Linda, but it looks like a lot of sour grapes to me, after being discharged. My office has searched your record for the visit you claim we charged for and never had, and we can't find it. We have never intentionally billed for a visit that did not happen. I am unaware of a single person that has died as a result of my prescribing. And if people only knew about it, the alternative medicine that I do could identify and treat the addictions in this world. Hopefully someday they will know, and this court case might be the stepping stone needed for this information to get to the public. As a colleague, I only hope that you are not ever in the situation I've been in, or other doctors in the country that treat pain. We should be supported by our colleagues, not ostracized.
