Struggling Inmate Dies At Dublin Jail

Alameda County authorities are investigating the death of an Oakland man who has just been booked into the county's Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.

Visiting is a joke! Families try to visit their family and the visiting team is made up of unsupervised rude rookies. They play with their phones all day and families wait to put their name in for visiting several hours earlier. We are put at their murcey. We need to speak up and file a complaint on these guys. Don't be afraid. This needs to stop and they have to put in place a better systeem. It's out-rages. We're not the ones in jail. Don't hold us hostage while your on the phone with your girlfriend or bopyfriend and we're waiting for you to get off your duff to put our name on line. We're not going to take it. Your every move is being monitored. Do your job! Put your phone in your locker! Mad as hell

I'll bet a rookie put hancuffs on him and beat the shit out of him. Housing unit 32 has just experienced this a few days ago. A rookie put hancuffs on a black inmate and beat the crap out of him. Everyone in unit 32 witnessed this. The rookies name begins with a P. He's hated by all the inmates. He has to go. I would be interested to hear back from anyone who has a loved one or other in santa rita. I wonder if this P was involved with this inmate that just died? HUM....

In unit 34 they have gang fights between the black and hispanic inmates. The deputies don’t prevent them from fighting they just yell at them to stop and if they don’t they spray them with pepper spray. The deputies also let the inmates control who can use the phones. Let the inmates stay up late playing cards and being loud. Also the food is really bad.
