Yeah! This Bourdeau guy is just the sort we need hanging out in the woods in August--a firebug! He needs psychological help.

"Larry Bourdeau, a 64-year-old Boulder Creek man who is on probation for arson..."

Ha!!!!!!! Hey Libs, how's that soft on crime attitude working out for you! Come on! You Libs should be falling over yourselves to explain to the judge he should release Larry to your personal custody as I'm sure there are plenty of bleeding heart Libs who would love to take Larry home to rehab! Just be sure to remove all ignition sources, lock your stove/oven controlls and monitor him 24/7 so you or your neighbor's homes don't spontaneously combust!

I wonder what he was protesting about? Sure looks like he could use a hair cut. The disinfranchised have nothing to loose. And society says not in my back yard. Well expect more of the same folks.

As long as you agree to pass a law to hospitalize people up against their will when they act out or become a nuisance to the public. Can lock him up until he acts out. Crazy or methhead is not enough to put him in "Agnews". We used to be able to do it.

A "self-employed Civil War reenactor"? You're telling me there's a market for them?
Anyway, kudos to those 3 teenagers! They've earned the respect and admiration of their community.

This guy used to ride my 35 bus and he is a piece of work. He was nicknamed "Yosemite Sam" due to his formally reddish hair and short temper. He'd blow up at nothing and would constantly accuse people of elder abuse. He would talk about his trips to Reno and then never have money for the bus. The downtown Metro Market owner banned him from his store because he was always asking for bus fare and free coffee and never getting it. The Mountain Store owner probably had enough of his crap too. He would bitch that Social Security was screwing him over, then every month he payed a woman to "move in" until Social Security check ran out. Good riddance I say!

I used to work with this man in 1975. He was a beautiful individual, with an exciting spirit and a passion for many things. He is ill. He is sick. He needs care. He needs to be on his medication. He was a vibrant, productive individual. This is what mental illness can do and it is tragic. I feel so sad for him.

But now he's not. It's now 35 years later and he's a convicted loser who has caused a lot of grief, property damage and financial difficulties for innocent people.

Poor choices and lack of personal responsibility can have a negative effect on one's life...regardless of how hard liberals fight it.

....and I notice with your all adulation for this bottom-feeder, you didn't once mention the "vibrancy" and "productive" nature...not to mention noble, selfless and heroic actions taken by the kids who kept this from being a tragedy...perhaps even saved lives.
