Ogdensburg police Wednesday arrested Chauncey J. Pray, 23, of 76 Demot St., Hammond, for third-degree felony robbery and third-degree misdemeanor attempted assault in connection with a Feb.

I just read what happened. Very scary for the female driver. He takes her to an isolated area. If I was a female I would think he would want to sexually assault. I assume she unlocked the door and ran away.

Perhaps, the cabs can be equip with cameras or partitions given it's only a few on the road from TNT.

If he does get away with a misdemeanor (he has a lengthy record already), you don't want this to give other idiots the idea to start a dangerous trend.

owning a gun in a cab isn't the answer and can go bad in so many ways.

I think partitions, cameras, and driver safety lessons from local police will help protect cab drivers better than a gun.

I wouldn't feel comfortable driving in a cab knowing the driver has a gun. He / she could want to harm me or a female client because of course guns can be used for other means than "protection".

This matter was about a criminal period! He broke the law and hopefully will go to prison after convicted. The color of men in prison won't make Chauncey a better and healthier person so when he is released, he doesn't break the law again.
