My neighbor did. They said the meter must be broken but they went out and looked and it wasn't so they requested someone from the water department come look. They didn't find anything either and told them they must have increased their usage. By a hundred bucks?!

I've had mine hundreds of gallons more on usage and had Cindy tell me I must have filled my pool. I don't own a pool and I surely am not nice enough to fill someone elses. ;0)

My water bill was crazy high. Cindy tells me I must have a leak. I checked everything. NO LEAK! The next month my water bill is NORMAL! I call the City to ask how this happened, Cindy says, The leak must have fixed itself!
I wish all my problems could just fix themselves. Maybe my bill will pay itself too!

Anybody else also live in city limits? They get a big chunk of change from us every fall in city taxes and we get NOTHING to show for it! I even have to pay extra on my electric bill for supplying my own security light...you would think the city would at least keep its streets lit! Maybe there wouldn't be so many break ins if we had safely lit streets and a police force that had more than one officer! What good does living in the city limits do?

No, I said we could have MORE THAN ONE officer. I will type slowly...more police would mean more protection. The whole point of my post was that citizens who live in city limits and pay city taxes should be seeing more benefits from those taxes. Not really sure what services we get for them...

Oh, forgot, how many complaints has there been against bobby robbins? The city was a really good place to live and raise a family but it has gone down hill ever since cull became mayor and then crupper took over, oh forgot half his family is on the famous fire department, his son doesn't even live in grant county...

My bill has been ridiculous for about a year now...My highest bill yet...$190.00 this month!!! WTF...You know it's bad when your water bill is higher than your electric bill! And is there anyone to complain to? I am getting ripped off along with a lot of other people I am sure!

Well in the past couple of years that i have lived in dry ridge the water bills have increased once and the sewer has gone up twice. My bill use to be under $50.00 for both water and sewer. Now it is about $75.00. If you are a landlord, which i am, then you get hit with double or tripple water bill.,or maybe even higher depending on how many individual tenants you have. But your not using any extra water, they are just charging more. I have a two family house, and i have one water meter. Im using the minumum amount of water, say its under 2000 gallons, then your bill used to be $75.00. Well an ordinance was just passed, im sure nobody knew about this week. It allows then to charge a minimum charge for each tenant you have reguardless of only having one meter.. its basically paying double for the same water i used last month..... Nice one council.. 100% water increase for me. YAHOO!!!!!what were you thinking.
I feel sorry for the poor bastards that have more than two or three apartments on one meter.$75.00 for each apartment, reguardless if you use it or not. Infact i dont think any of the multifamily units have more that one meter in the city. I think there is one on Broadway that has six units, thats $480.00 for the same water they used last month that only cost them about $80.00. UnFu**in believeable.
Well its a money grab, i guess, they spent to much money last year on the new Emergency Response Vehicle for the Fire department. I heard it was well over $180,000, for a bare bones vehicle which is basically a streetlight on wheels. I think they got a good deal on it though,(Gee that makes me sleep better). Its normal cost was even higher, it seems that the vehicle was not made to the correct specifications for another Fire Department and they had to dump it off on someone.. And the City took the bait on hat one. We all know that they needed that massive vehicle to take care of the entire 4.7sq. miles of Dry Ridge. Yea...Yea... i know it will go outside the city limits all the time, when the Fire Department goes on a joy ride in the 2.4 mpg behemoth. Im sure you will see it where they used to put the portable light generator to light up a parking lot, or an accident of some sort. It may even be in a couple of parades this year. I Cant Wait To See It....

This City Council needs to be flushed..... Now
