I am an actual patient at Central Ky Wellness Ctr. I think u may have them confused with another business. They have always had only one location in Lexington.$250 for first time visit and $200 for subsequent visits. I have been a patient since opening day July 2010. They follow all laws including required drug testing, blood work to check your liver enzymes, sugar levels, etc. All done to ensure your overall health is not compromised by your medications. They run a KASPER each time so doctor shoppers are in the wrong place. As long as your MRI and other tests show a need for medication and you comply with laws surrounding Pain Mgmt clinics, you will have no qualms with the level of care you receive. From my experience, they do not overprescribe so if you are in need of a large quantity of narcotics, whatever your reason, you probably will leave unsatisfied. Most of the other patients I have seen in waiting room appear to be 40 & over. Some on canes or walkers and others with obvious injuries. I have seen no evidence of ppl sitting around high or anyone engaging in drug dealing. This is just based on MY personal experience. I do not presume to speak for anyone else.

That might be the nicest writeup about a clinic I have ever read. I would say you are affiliated with the clinic, but I know you aren't because I am. In reality, chronic pain medicine is being changed as we speak. House Bill 1 has so many unintended consequences that they are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars and man hours to fix it. The Governor talks about all the clinics they have shut down and how prescriptions are down although the State didn't know or care if the clinics were reputable or that patients can't get seen and that is why the scripts are down. Most people think anyone prescribing meds is a pill mill, but many clinics shut down because they were just too small to follow what the state required. Now some of that is changing, but it is too late. In the end, KY may have as few as 12 clinics to treat the entire state. Most family physician are reluctant if not outrite refusing to treat any chronic pain. With so few physicians treating pain, some patients are going to suffer without timely care. I don't mean the pill heads, but the truly injured patients. Lord knows we have enough regs to keep out pill heads and traffickers, but some still get in at least for a few months. Some are even hurt, but are addicted and abuse the medication. That's why we started an addictions department to help those that need off and want off of the meds. Keep in mind that we don't know people like you do so it may take some time to figure them out and not everyone tells the truth to us or you. So when you say that your cousin's friend's baby sitter gets 120 30s and 120 2mg Xanax then don't beleive them. I don't know anyone in this state who prescribes Florida style meds. As for Grant Co., one clinic got shut down. The one affiliated with the Gtown group is still trying to stay open, but moved out of state although they still practice family medicine in Gtown. In the end, if you need chronic pain medicine and are actually injured, have tried physical therapy and need more treatment than Ibuprophen as well as have diagnotist reports that show you have issues (not the dreaded fantom bad back) and can follow some rules then we are a good place to seek treatment. If you want to waste your money because you can't pass a drug test or want to sell your pills then please stay away or you will lose your money and get run off. New appointment are so limited now that we hate wasting them on people who are looking for Florida style treatment. Just know up front that it isn't going to happen and you will be pissed off if you come in for a visit. Good luck to everyone who needs care in finding it and try to help us keep out those that are ruining it for everyone else.

I 've been a patient of this clinic since they opened thier doors and I have to say that this is they best place of business for chronic pain that I've seen in 20 years that I was seriously injured in a car acccident that has left me suffering with pain daily. They don't put up with bystanders and people running in and out the door every minute or 2 to smoke cigs loiter around outside the building. They have signs outside as u walk in and on the inside stating that u will be dismissed for people waiting outside for u,bad kasper, docter shopping, and failing drug tests and that is your only warning and they mean it,I've personaly seen them dismiss people for one or more of these reasons that they strictly enforce daily. This is a clinic for patients that suffering from pain and not some pill mill for dope dealers, trust me they will sniff u out if ur there for the wrong reasons.Alot of people don't know this but this is one of the first clinics of this type that quit yes I said quit prescibing their patients Xanax and Soma over 2 years ago and it was the best damn move they could have ever made bye my account, because it weeded out the dope heads. As far as I know they have and are doing everything they can to be in complete compliance with the law and operate a respectable establisment
