Cute and very right! My new little furry friend is very cold blooded as well. While it is a personal rule that I never allow pets to sleep on my bed...she has me under her paw! She sleeps under the covers in our warm bed on most nights! She is an older dog (8.5) and I think that she has earned anything she wants. Ha....needless to say that she is the most spoiled pet that has adopted me to date. On our first steak dinner night, after we first got her, I cut her up her own steak. She was so excited she hid steak all over the house! It was tooooooo funny to watch this little dog drag out hunks of steak from little corners in the house...out of the blue over a 3 day period.

We have also had the wood stove going for the last two days. Feels so good! Oh, and the smell of coal once in awhile...nothing like it!

How is the new hen house turnning out? Do they like it?

Actually I borrowed that quote from Abraham Lincoln who had told it to one of his newly assigned Generals about how he was going to win the upcoming battle.

@OJG.. New hen house is finished and is twice as big as the old one that I turned into a woodshed. I expanded to 38 laying hens instead of 12 since I started supplying eggs to the Senior Citizens Center.

Just my way to stay productive and contribute. Costs of feeding is neglible considering the fun I get in watching the chickens and satisfaction in knowing that the old folks are not going hungry.

Wow!!! I used to think you were a smart and well read woman. I guess that did not help you much. I have not been here in awhile and used to wonder what type of person you really were...Thanks for clearing up my questions with this very intelligent reply.

Trash "E" font or Smell "E" font...that is the question.

Pretty bad you would dog AW in an instant to impress trash and then try to look mature by discussing books and history with him the next post. Wow, what is wrong with that picture?

That is great they have a bigger home and you gained a woodshed to boot...can't beat that. Our barn has worked out to be the hay storage building! LOL Since my goats have been fenced in fort knox the hay has finally been used enough to give our horse a roof again! I have enjoyed helping to get the hay this year. We had more than the past years. The first thing I did was give my goats the first bale! The whole thing...play in it, eat it, lay in it...they were tickled!

Old McDonald had some silly squawking geese and a few turkeys that were last seen heading south on I65.
