This is to abusers of welfare. NOT PEOPLE WHO REALLY NEED IT. Welfare and food stamps are not supposed to keep you in a home and pay for your groceries forever. Have more babies get more welfare. That is not supposed be that way. If you don't work then there is a problem. You either don't have a high school diploma or you are lazy. There is help out there. Get a GED and some kind of a job. Most important thing to do-----STOP HAVING BABIES--THEY WILL HAVE A SAD LIFE =====PEOPLE THAT WORK TALK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME---IF YOU ARE SCREWED UP THEN YOU DON'T NEED TO POP OUT BABIES----WORK----YOU WON'T HAVE AS MUCH TIME TO SLEEP WITH YOUR NEXT BABY DADDY----WE KNOW YOU CAN HAVE SEX---THE BABIES YOU KEEP HAVING ARE PROOF. THERE IS FREEEEEEEEEEEEE BIRTH CONTROL------USE IT--PEOPLE ARE VERY DISGUSTED BY-- YOU-- NOT THE POOR LITTLE KIDS -------USE BIRTH CONTROL------ GET A GED===== AND JOBS-----STOP DOING THIS TO INNOCENT KIDS----IF YOU CAN'T FEED EM THEN DON'T BREED EM

I am sick of the free hand outs too. I think they should be drug tested weekly if they are on welfare of any kind, i work and have to get tested so should they. Half of them recipients would lose their benfits if they had to be tested. After 2 kids you should be mandatory fixed so you cant have any more kids or cut off from all welfare and help. You should be on a time limit of getting benefits too. You have an alotted time to get your ged and job or go to college, after that, your on your own. why is it that educated people dont have as many kids, but the poor have a lot of kids? we want better for our kids so we have 2 and welfare mom has 10 and can't offer them anything. there is something wrong with this picture, isnt there?

The reason for this is the baby boomers, Free love, Sex, drugs, Rock and Roll, The 60's and 70's produced this off spring that is rolling them babies, There were so many babies born out of wedlock in the baby boomers era then ever, That is where the welfare system was first established.
We as a nation can support across seas with billions to support thier poor, but, not at home. And where are we to get the next generation of war hero's? The United States are just feeding them for now, as they get older they will send all them poor ole boys out to do the dirty work, To support our grand nation. Yea let's bring back the draft!!!
Don't ever think that our great nation don't have a plan for the stupid and the dumb. It is already happening on our streets. The killers are growing stronger and faster than the police can keep up with. I think that the bad guys should not be sent to prison. they need to be enlisted into the War!!!! The abusive are abused by people like you throwing stones,
If you were to become disabled hope your two childern will take care of you. Oh that's right you have insurance. Nursing home here I come!!!!!

Half the people in grant county that recieve food stamps sell them for cigarettes, drugs, beer etc. Its like pay day to them. I can sit here and name off at least a dozen who have tried to sell their food stamps to me. Yet I am raising grandchildren and laid off from my job but I "make too much money" to qualify for food stamps. I have worked all my life!! Now the deadbeats are living better than I am. They sit around all day instead of looking for a job, they sit around trying to think up more ways to screw the system. Or figure out the next hard working person that they can steal from to buy their drugs. Yeah Grant county is getting pretty pathetic. If they can't steal it, they are begging on the side of the street. Makes me sick.

These post are really rediculous. I dont see how people can down people for getting support, I mean yeah just like the pill heads that went to that doctor and now look at the outcome of that, the good people who really need it suffer from idiots taking advantage and having rediculous addictions. I dont agree about the drug testing because then the kids have to do with out while the parents are still somehow getting their fix. It's all a bunch of bullshit to me.. no matter what this county tries to do people are still bitching and complaining about something. I guess people want things to be like they were twenty years ago but needless to say that will NEVER happen! I mean times change, generations change as we all know and this is just the epidemic of this generation so deal with it like you dealt with everyone doing acid in the fuckin seventies.

U know u all have some nerve to put people down cause they are disabled and getting extra help some people can't help the fact. They are disabled and need extra help to take care of there kids at least there kids are taken care of and not neglected. Yeah there are some people who don't care about there kids and are only worried about there selfs but not every one is like that. And it don't matter how many kids some one has as long as they are taken care of u your self sound like u must not like kids so what if they don't have everything. They dreamed of having as long as they got lots of love and food a place to live and are going to school. Grow up. People get something better to talk about.stop putting everything and everyone down because ur life must suck don't bring others down with u.

I am not putting down someone for being disabled or for needing extra help. I know the economy has reduced alot of people to needing help. I am downing the DEADBEATS out there. The ones who don't work, don't take care of their kids....on DRUGS,....too lazy to WORK....the ones who sit back and take ADVANTAGE of the help. And yes I do like kids....as a matter of fact I am raising 4 kids that don't even belong to me. No I don't get help or food stamps....but these deadbeat parents do. And oh yeah.....they go to the methadone clinic everyday. And no my life don't suck....I am too busy working and taking care of other peoples kids for my life to suck. So if you dream of having alot of kids....I hope you also dream of working so you can take care of them properly.

yep, I know of a 28 year olD woman, has not held down a job in years, lives off her parents to support her. They pay her 400.$ car payment and support her smoking habit. She got pregnant by a 20 year old boy....now she is saying things like" well now I can go to school for free" " I am to tired to work" " my parents will help me" "my life coach says I can get 7,000 a month to live on plus a free apartment" Oh and she is still smoking at 4 months pregnant. DISGUSTING!!

I agree, I am seeing this in my own circle. Medical for children is needed but having children to obtain medicaid, food stamps, housing and education is pathetic. It's funny how I see people "trying" to get jobs but the reality is, they fail at interviews for being lack luster and obviously not caring if they get a job or not. Working seasonally to jump back to unemployment, the list goes on. Its a sad world to bring children in when this is your plan for them

When I was 17 my parents signed to let me go to the Air Force. A year later in front of a television I watched as thousand lost their lives on September 11th. I as many before me and now since answered the call to defend what was most precious to us. I returned home a physically and mentally damaged and broken man. Some of my friends lost their lives and some came home to broken homes.
What I learned is something that we as humanity should learn. We must take care of our own people and those who are even on welfare and have kids. If they have drug problems try to help them. If they abuse their help by selling food stamps and other crimes prosecute them.
However we slice it we must not give up on them and we are only as strong as our weakest link. We must invest in ourselves because the programs you complain about you can take action to reform. Believe in yourselves as free Americans because so many complain on this issue and do nothing to fix the problem.
It is important to vote and vitally important to invest time in our country's future.
I feel America could have a base level health care for all citizens and anyone who needs more can go get it.
Welfare should be more controlled on a case by case basis as if you are able to make strides to better your life you should be assisted and eventually come out of that.
If you are in real need then we as Americans should help you without complaint.
The new policy of drug testing in welfare is a good idea, but it is just a start. We as Americans should be the leaders and example to the world on how to take care of its own people.
Live in peace and fight the good fight.

You are an idiot ! It is NOT right for people who have never worked , sit around and bitch and complain about not having enough money to do their drugs , and don't love their children. You don't deserve welfare just because you are a lazy good for nothing BUM ! What you don't understand BUM, is pretty soon , there is going to be more welfare bums and not enough working people to carry you lazy good for nothings. Who is going to feed you then , HUH bum ?
you better be thinking about that BUM. I won't be in the world much longer. I have had to work 2 jobs the biggest part of my life, PLUS feed all of my own children because I am a widow that the government has forgotten about. I wasn't a lzzy BUM. So bum, you better be putting back food LIKE REAL SOON. We , the generation of working people are dying out . GOOD BYE BUM.

It is irritating knowing that half of these people taking advantage is the younger class an it does make me angry! I absolutely agree with needing help if you are a hard working parent (s) an yes mosT do sell them for what they want an most leaving there kids out! Its sickins me we pay for them to have that and free housing an those that have all these kids to collect checks because that's there easy way of making money as well as those that can't even support them nor want them. Its horrible for them kids to suffer an live that way though they should go to someone that's wiling to give them the life they diserve.
I don't agree with only being aloud to have only 2 kids I'm sorry but those who are living the easy way out should defantly not dIserve to have any at all
But who are we to be able to stop that?!
by the way now days aGED, COLLEGE DEGREE OR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA DOESN'T COUNT! So as far as getting a job out find a way to earn money legally you should, being cut off at a certain time no because there are some that really try an continue to work that its paying there taxes though I understand they should stop having kids if they can no longer afford them
I am a young married woman with 3beautiful kids 2 of which are babies that is a stay at home mom as for my husband does work a great job garenteed to last an steady work that's not at a factory but is dealing with helping people everyday in which with no diploma so to those that say they can not get a job they are full of it for the fact if we can find a job so can others its about being serious an looking because that's no excuse !
With the economy the way it is there's restraunts are there that will help you even if its not a real job its something!
Come on the bumbs make 30,ooo yearly says the gov. An was asked'if you could get a job would you work?'the guy simply said maybe for a couple of days then id quit that's awful! Because 30k is easier than manning up an working

Thank you for your service by the way. Don't complain? I will stop complaining when young able bodied citizens start working and taking responsibility. It shouldn't take 4 or more years to do that. In exchange for their benefits they should be drug tested. Additionally, they should have to volunteer to help the young, disabled, elderly, homeless, etc etc in exchange for any money they receive If they only give 20 hours a week, their welfare payment will reflect those hours.
Have you ever seen a welfare recipient or illegal alien doing volunteer work? Contributing to our society? I haven't. It is important to vote and vitally important to invest time in our country's future is what you said. How do welfare recipients invest in our country's future? I look forward to hearing just how they invest? My ears are ready.

Welfare and Foodstamps support the local stores, If not all those little stores would fall under the radar, They support the laundry mats, the housing projects, they support the local gas stations, they support the very same companies that accept the food stamps and welfare, The DTllar stores, they support the schools, The teachers ask for donations for snacks and supplies from the parents, Do you think that the welfare money would go to the poor little stores or schools if welfare did not exist... what about the cab drivers, the small auto sales, Do you think those that are wealthy would buy them broken down cars, They support the auto parts store. what about the shoe stores that sell for less. If money was rolling in then they would not wear payless shoes, What bout the small time people that support the county by taxes, Where do you think the taxes get paid if not by welfare.... This is the way the goverment keeps america going, give to the poor, they will spend it... They have to. The rich don't spend. What about the banks, How much do you thing they take in on welfare checks. The electric company, The cell phone companies, Come on get with the program, All you see is free money. But, the same free money is spent, not saved... Even if you supply the local cigarette store, he pays taxes, and if you supply the local drug dealer, he eats at resturants, How many rich people do you see at Mcdonals, wendy's or any cheap food establishment... You go out on the first and watch you city come to life and money flowing in and out. Yea it might make you sick, but, it look better than money in the bannnnnnnkkkkkkkkk!!!!! As you see one hand feeds another... We can complain but, truth goes on

Today I was amazed. The new generation of jobs: two ladies standing in front of Safeway. One was about 40 the other about thirty. One was holding a sign stating she didn't have a job and had 5 kids, please help. Now the "poor children card." If you can't feed um don't have um. Instead of standing there holding a sign, two of them no less, they could be applying for jobs, but when I said "get a job" they clearly didn't understand English, perhaps they were pretending not to understand because their sign was in English.

As I drove off at another corner of the parking lot was another young woman with a sign, no job and I have 3 children.

Two beggers in a day was just too much for me. I don't like this bleeding heart tactic either.

There is free food given away at a local church every day of the week including Saturday, and they serve a hot lunch too. why don't they go there?

I go to this one center to donate my clothes. Every day they give clothes away. In all honesty, all I have seen are hispanics. I go often. I have never seen a caucasian there.

If you can't find a job here go to another country, perhaps your own, and find one. Quit begging on the corners.

Who was babysitting those 5 children while two women begged for money.

One time I followed a lady, caucasian, home who had been begging in front of a Lucky grocery store. She and her car mate pulled into a very nice apt building and were smoking cigarettes. Give up the cigarettes if you are so dang poor. A $5 pack of cigs would buy you a chicken at Safeway.

This whole thing infuriates me.

I have known young ladies that made over a thousand dollars a week cash in a tipping job that had state aide and EBT cards. They could get 200 hundred dollar hair do's and cosmetic surgery but not have to spend a dime on groceries to feed their kids. That use to bother me so bad because I knew that some men would work 40 hour week labor jobs that did not make that kind of money and their families did not get any help at all and they seemed to be in more need and deserving of help in hard times. It just seems like the system is so messed up and it gets worse all the time. I know another young lady that has state aide and they pay for her college education and gets over four hundred dollars a week unemploymentt..all the while living with her boyfriend who makes great money and she still complains and thinks she should get more. Matter of fact she is having a baby and we the tax payers are paying for this too....all the while her boyfriend sits back and think he has it made. It is never going to end as long as the people running the system don't wise up to the trickery of some of the folks in these programs.
