Strange thing about this crash.
Plain 1 flew over or near the Joyce airport at Winnfield and then flew about 10 files before he radioed that he was out of fuel. At this time he was several miles to the east of a private runway. One would think he would a turn around or head for the private runway. But he did neither he kept on heading south and attempted to pass the private runway by and did not even attempt to land on US167 as has been done in the past.
This is all confusing to those of us who live near the site.
Did he not have a map?
If he was low on fuel why did he not land at the Joyce airport in Winnfield when he flew over it?
Why did he keep flying 15 miles and crash only a few miles from a private landing strip without even trying to get to it?
Did traffic control tell him where the airports were?
Why was none of this covered in news reports?
Just who’s fault is this his or air traffic control? Its clearly not an accident.
Plane 2 crashed the next day over a area slightly to the west. This is also confusing, they crashed about 10 miles to the south west of the first crash site. They say this one was engine trouble. The passengers survived.
