It seems like everyone is worried about who is on pills, cheating, drinking, breaking into houses, etc., while ignoring the bigger picture.
If someone cheats on you, leave them. I someone is a drunk or drug addict, stop selling, renting, and speaking to them. They will leave. If someone breaks into your home, exorcise your Constitutional rights while you still have them.
Now that all that is cleared up, can we pay attention to the real issues? For 11 years we have been at war in the Middle East. Our troops don't want a yellow sticker on your car, they want to come home.
Wall Street Banks were given billions of YOUR tax dollars, because they were bad gamblers. They gave themselves bonuses while you may be struggling to afford food or medicine.
Prozac and toxic waste are added to your water, your garden seeds are modified so you cannot save them, and American jobs are being shipped overseas.
Don't you think it is time to wake up and take back your lives? People were never meant to fear their government, not the other way around.
The information is out there, you just have to be willing to listen and do something about it. Thanks for reading.

Correction, I meant to say that people were never meant to fear the government, the government should be afraid of the people.

That's a good Political comment, my favorite is Ronald Reagan. I like this one better. " The Government is not the solution to our problem. The Government is the problem itself.

But this one's my favorite.

" We must reject the idea that every time a law is broken, Society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the Good ole American precept that each individual is accountable for his/her actions."

Is that good or bad that I'm 19 and that I know who's a better president.
What has happened to our Government.
Have a happy new year, DBolen

I like the issues you shed light on. The drug problem is in our faces daily though. People are mad. It is hard to be robbed and see nothing done. It is hard to watch drug activity for years in your neighborhood and see nothing done. I'm never without a gun anymore in this once friendly town.

I could care less who's cheating on who. I would like to talk about any of these issues separately. I can't ignore the drug problem here and our lack of proper law enforcement.

I enjoy living in this town, I'm 19 I still live with my mom. For one major reason. Im scared for her and the rest of my family's in this bottom's safety. My senior year last year our house was broken into more than several times. I have a loud truck that sometimes draws negative attention in return I got pulled over. It's red silverado has vigilante customs on the back. The trooper just had to inform me what vigilante stood for.
" An average individual that takes the law into his/her hands."
The cop give me the realization that I needed. This is what this town needs is for its good citizens to stand up united and not take the trash anymore. Run these pill heads and thieves out of town.We need to stand up against the drugs, and thieves. It take cops 2-3 hrs to get here. It takes a thief 15 min to get out of town. I'm sick of drugs being sold to kids. I work hard for everything I have and not for somebody that rides a check to take all that I have in the middle of the night. I want kids to be able to go outside without somebody trying to sell em drugs. Pill heads and thieves better get used to me being here. I'll stand my ground and I'll never back down or leave this town. The war has begun. When they endangered my family I went to the law they said leave him alone he'll just be out by the end of the week. So I did he came back just to taunt me, he broke in again. So from now on I don't call the law. If they endanger my family I will do anything to ensure my whole family is safe. Even if that means I have to put a couple pill head thieves in the ground to achieve that purpose. I won't lose any sleep at all I promise.

I've had my troubles getting help from the police too. It's as if they are trained to start making excuses for the druggies and criminals before they even make a move. If one is kind enough to help it often comes with advice that they are discouraged with their job because criminals are often out of jail as soon as they catch them. The problem has to come from higher up. It seems to affect both county and state police. I'll be honest, I'm almost as discouraged with the police as I am the druggies. The good ones are few and far between, and even at that seem to be influenced to turn a blind eye to the drugs in our area. These drugs are the cause of 99.9% of the crime in our community. It is really sad when getting to shoot someone breaking into your home starts to feel like winning. People are so fed up they almost crave it. The gun classes are full and the whole community is packing.

No, the thread did not vanish. It is good to see that people are actually talking about the issues around here instead of gossip.

We are still here, it just seems as if everyone pays more attention to the gossip threads. I am tired of the drugs, and tired of the crime...sad, but I am ready to sell my house and move.

It's exercise your rights, not exorcise. Unless your firearm is possessed.
