Such a sad thing to lose such a beautiful person. My condolences to everyone who's lives have been touched by Mike. I am sure he would want everyone to be strong. RIP Mike.

I didn't know Mike, but my son's girlfriend is a student at K. U., and she worked along side of him in many ways. I have heard nothing but good, positive things about him.
I would like to send my condolences and prayers to the friends and families that were touched by such a wonderful young man, who has definately left a mark on many lives. I am deeply sorry for you loss.

He's an angel in every sense of the word, said Phipps. He came down here, he did his job wonderfully, and he was called back up.

What wonderful words to honor this young man.KU has many bright students who unfortunately are learning how to come together to grieve. I believe that they will accomplish great things in their lives'-all inspired by tragedy.Thoughts and prayers go out to Mike's friends and family.

We're not here forever-so make the best of each day.

It's the same old song at KU. Is this school cursed or something? It seems like every year at least several students die in tragic accidents. I went to a college that's smaller than Kutztown, but in my four years there there wasn't a single undergrad (that I'm aware of) who passed away, either due to an accident or natural causes. I really think it is strange that so many KU students continue to die young. And I think the school needs to do more than simply offer more grief counseling. Maybe they should offer some road safety classes for their students, along with information about risk-taking and its consequences. And yes, motorcycles are riskier than cars, whether you're wearing a helmet or not.
