Well I couldn't find the discussion so I thought I would stir the pot. I personally can't allow myself to believe in an all powerful being, but I have no issue with others who may. I just wanted to know if people still believe in god because of how they were brought up, if they truly feel a divine presence, or if they just need the comfort of knowing they are not living a pointless existence? <sarcasm> [sort of] What brings this up is the pope's recent talk about the threat technology poses against the catholic faith. Which brings up the next point, why would any one of the world's religions be the right one? Please try to keep this discussion open minded, god talk often causes many issues, but try to stay understanding of other people's beliefs. I am simply trying to find the reason behind folk's faith, not to question it.
