Give anybody the shirt off his back???? Yeah except the officers he wanted to kill that day. "Everbody has issues"??? I dont know any people that would lead Police on a violent chase then try to kill them. I am sorry you brother was killed, I really am but he made the choice. Now the officer has to deal with the trauma of killing someone. Had Wade just stopped he would be alive today and we wouldnt have to try to place blame on others for his actions.

"Not a model citizen"????? He was a convicted criminal who assaulted several law enforcement officers with a deadly weapon, i.e. his SUV. An innocent person would not have led police on a dangerous chase. He put the lives of others at risk with his dangerous behavior. How could anyone believe he was "crawling out a window to surrender"? All you have to do is put your hands in the air and say, "I surrender". Crawling out the window to escape or to attack the police officers is more likely. The police are to be commended for their actions. I am sorry for the family's loss, but this guy's illegal and irresponsible behavior led to his death.

Issues? Come on dude - I don't know or hang around with anybody that has those sort of "Issues".

I too was about to say that I am sorry for the family's loss. However, after thinking it over, I think the family just may come out of this better off.

Nice investigative reporting Park Record. I guess the fact that this clown led the Nevada State Police on a chase- after committing burglaries- and has over 50 ARRESTS probably doesnt merit being in the article. Nice job!

He had a criminal record going back over 20 years. In the Nevada case, his accomplice confessed that she and Pennington were involved in as many as 40 burglaries in the Las Vegas area, and as many as 20 in the Mesquite area. He was included the the Midvale Police Dept's MOST WANTED list, which included the warning: "IMPORTANT: These fugitives should be considered dangerous and might possibly be armed. Never attempt to arrest or apprehend these subjects yourself. " And the family describes this as "having issues"???I think the whole Pennington family has "issues". If they have any sense they will shit up and be thankful that their criminal relative didn't kill someone. All my sympathy is for the police officers who had to take part in what must have been one scary chase, and especially to the police officer who fired his weapon in self-defense. He is a hero, and Wade Pennington was a criminal punk.

i've heard that the ACLU and Sharpton's rainbow coalition are going to protest the killing of another innocent black man.

What's that? Oh...nevermind, he's white. Guess this will be chalked up to 'he got what he deserved'

You people who think that Wades family is better off without him? And can say you think his family has issues? There is definitely something wrong with you, no family deserves that pain! Wade may have made bad choices, but he did not deserve to be killed. Try to remember that media is looking for a story not for the truth! Not everything you hear is true.

No, "Shlee", pay attention: his BROTHER said that Wade "had issues." What the rest of us are saying is that is was not just a matter of having issues - more like the matter of having a 20+ year criminal record. Wade didn't just make bad choices, he committed crimes - many MANY of them. He led police on a high speed chase that could have resulted in the death of an innocent bystander. He brought about his own death. I'm sure his family will miss him, but society in general will not.

If you don't know all of the facts then you have no right to judge. Yes he had a criminal past but he was past that and getting help. First of all the article that the sl tribune said he was driving the car in the high speed chase in vegas NOT TRUE the girl was driving. How does one jump from a moving car and later she was caught and charged with evading, possesion of stolen vehicle and reckless...Think about it!!!!And she was just trying to get herself out of trouble. And the most wanted in midvale is a lie He NEVER had any charges in midvale and if you go to the website and click on his name, there is nothing there...kinda strange....You people who are bashing him and his family are evil. You don't know what is going on but believe me you will and you will all eat your words. I hope to God you never have to go through anything like this and people say things like you are saying. You don't know what's it's like until you are involved. Even if he was going to run he didn't deserve to be killed...
