MSES Preschool Bus....

I have a little girl that attend preschool at Muhlenberg South Elementary. She rides the bus driven by Ms. Katerina Jones and the bus monitor Beverly Jones. I have been having lots of problems involving them here lately. For starters you never know when there coming and going..but that's just the start. There are alot of other problems but mainly this one: I miss-placed my card that we're suppose to use in order to get your child of the bus..I had to get new cards and even though I showed them my card (and them knowing that I am the mother and that I have been getting my child off the bus throughout this school year & the last)..they refused to give me my child. The bus monitor had my child by her wrist holding and squeezing it..(my 4 year old child!!!) I literally has to pry my child away and take off. I was wondering if there was anyone else that has been having any problems or if it were just me???

You were lucky they didn't have you arrested. I have had several issues with the school system over the last 16 years and have even contacted the governor about some of the issues with no help at all. The system with the cards and you not being able to get your child is different. The school most likely didn't give the bus driver the new card info and that is the reason for this incident. The monitor and driver did what they were supposed to do except they let you take the child. Good luck this is a tough cookie to crack.

They never should have let you have your child! They are not suppose to, and all parents are told about this at the start of the school year. Which you should have known since, by your own remark, you are a returning parent from last year! Those cards are put in place for the protection of the children which is far more important than the convenience of the parent. I wouldn't be shocked to find that it is just you having the problem.

You must be the bus driver or someone that works in the school system. I'll have you know that I took my child out of preschool this year because of that bus driver. The man that drove last year was great..he drove that bus for years I heard. The lady this year never comes at the times she says. I was sitting on my front porch waiting to get my child off the bus, and she didn't even attempt to stop. She drove right on by. I hollered out and waved my arms as she went around the curve, but she kept on going. My 4 year old had already been on the bus for over an hour; my child is next to the last at getting off the bus. I don't understand this new driver; she's not even friendly. Miss Brandy is the best; I miss her lots. She was always great...really cares about people. This is the first time I have seen this topic on here; I do realize it's dated back in October 2009. I still haven't sent my child back to that school.

At least you know they wouldnt let her go with the wrong person. But for them to grip her wrist and refuse her to leave with you, when they are familiar with you, is going a bit overboard. I would have gone bizerk and I'm sure it scared your daughter badly.

I never had any problems with them. It is true that you never really know when they will be there... But they were always nice to us.

Not for sure of the bus drivers name but it is a woman. She drives for Muhlenberg South Elem. and travels the Myers Chapel road Belton /Dunmor area. She does not always STOP @ STOP signs. I know she has been reported but nothing happens.

My daughter rides the bus and has for the past two years and Brandi jones is the best bus monitor anyone could ever ask for...we adore her!! We are talking about preschoolers which means the bus driver stops, brandi unbuckles them from their seat and then escorts them off the bus which means if there are a couple children that didn't attend school that day then the times will be different from day to day according to how many children rode! That is just common sense! The cards are for you childrens safety and i would think you would be understanding to that fact and i can not imagine brandi ever holding a childs wrist so hard that is would cause the child physical pain!

My kids ride a diffrent bus, but we have had problem with it the whole time they have gone to school there. The driver doesnt care as long as it doesnt concern her and the school doesnt care as long as they make money off them being there.
