which federal laws as police officials you want to uphold or not, it is a violation of federal law to be an illegal immigrant, yet local law enforcement will not enforce that law, and will not ask for proof of citizenship, yet Justin smith who has always been opposed to marijuana legalization chooses to enforce federal guidelines when it comes to weed, and in the same breath, is opposed to the federal gun restrictions that were to be imposed, and had stated that he wouldn't enforce those laws.
As sherriff you don't get to pick and choose which laws and when and where you choose to enforce them, as an elected representative of the law, your job is to enforce the laws as voted on by the people of the state you represent.
You are not a federal law enforcement agent, you are county and state, so do your job or resign.

Kinda funny they objlect to the new law. Didn't they request a big share of marijuana tax money for police training. Shame on you taking money from schools maybe if you can't tell if drivers are stoned is because they are driving fine
