There's more to this story than is being revealed. Town Manager of Lafayette, Gary Klaphake, was not only the Town Manager of Estes Park but also owns/owned a condo in Estes as well. There is a reason he 'volunteered' his workers to 'help'.

I have nothing against helping Estes Park, all good. But I don't understand why Lafayette is not helping it's own people by Coal Creek that were hit pretty bad. When you call the city, they tell you you are on your own and if you want to get rid of some debris, you have to haul it to Boulder, because they have no place for it. I am not really impressed with that.
