It would be nice to know who the other teachers were. It did say TEAM, didn't it? I thought there were no I's in TEAM!!!

carol - just what do you think your takes go to? Public school for one. And field trips are part of that.
It's so important that kids learn our country's history and they're living right in the heart of the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. Kudos to the teacher(s) who submitted the grant request and thanks to those who awarded it!

As a former student of Dracut I realize that the field trip to the mills in eigth grade is unnecessary. Students go to the Boott Cotton Mills about three times from the time they enter elementary school to the time they enter 7th grade. I went there so many times it started to get boring when we went.
