Why wait? Go already. Enough is enough. And take the crooked cops with you. You've come to the end of the road, Dennis -- no more prop 2 1/2 override proposals (how many WERE there under your "leadership"?), no more smoking butts on the stoop at town hall, no more ignoring the need for a new town hall. Yup, we're all really gonna miss you.

Not the towm managers fault if the town sucks, it is the people who live there. Go look in the mirror.

In 25 years Dracut has had less prop. 2 1/2 overides than any local town. Dennis didn't propose the overides, the town residents put it on the ballot, people vote up or down. Martha Coakley should have handled the cop issue, if she didn't do the job feds should step in, aparently there was not enough evidence for a conviction. The town manager works within the budget he has, unlike the state and federal level. Exactly how do you plan to pay for that new town hall you say is "needed"?

Good riddens.....Maybe he's stalling the findings of the two police officers hearing until the day before he leaves because he has no spine and B...s to deal with the consequences due to the fact that he's not going to fire them. I wonder how much he's getting paid off.

Not true, you idiot. Dracut has has had tons of overrride proposals, probably more than any other area town.(Let me guess, your're a democrat, which is latin for "lousy at math.") And it's not the voters who put it on the ballot, you fool, it's the selectman, at the request of the town manager, who is the chief budgeting officer. Thankfully, the voters have killed most of the DOZENS of override proposals that Dennis 's administration has put forward.

As for the town hall, the town is under orders from a federal judge(for about a decade now) to make town hall compliant with the americans with disabilities act.(As your handicap is apparently mental and not physical, you can go to the selectman's office on the second floor at town hall, but those in a wheelchair can't.) Again, Dennis and the boys had the good idea to build a new town hall, using a prop 2 1/2 override. When it failed, he did absolutely nothing. Whatever happened to the plan to renovate the existing town hall? Nothing. I don't think a new town hall is needed; the judge does -- and apparrently so does the town administration, as Dennis and his friends were telling taxpayers when they were trying to get the override passed. For all I care, let those hacks sit in the rat-filled basement or the front lawn on Arlington Street. As long as it doesn't cost us anymore taxes.

Consider yourself (better) informed.

I agree with Go right now. Not only should he he leave now, but I do hope the town hall eventually coplapses on all of those union muni hacks.

Well, if he did have any balls at all, he would gut a few positions and use that money for a new town hall, we could even name it after him. We all know none of that will ever happen, it would require forethought and effort. Those qualities are no where to be found in town hall.

dont u think dennis would love a new town hall? do u think he likes to go to his place of work every day in a dilapidated bulding? wouldnt he want a nice office in a new building with no cold drafts in the winter and air conditioning in the summer?

its not his fault thatthe town of dracut doesnt do anything. the people dont do anything and blame dennis for their laziness.

and before someone replies that i dont know how to spell and not capitalising my words i want to say this. the majority of the citizens of dracut are not worth my time to proofread this message and hit shift for capital letters.

i do agree that dennis should get out sooner than later. he is too good for that pathetic town. dracut is becoming a white trash town.

dennis, good luck in retirement. u deserve it

Cox doesn't want it. Edwards is an idiot, everyone knows that. Warren will pick one, but never be one. McCarthy...to many skeletons in the closet.

Although there were many overide attempts, often for the same projects, there were less actual overides. You claim there were tons, I do not know the conversion rate for overides to tons. You complain about inaction regarding a new town hall but are angry about overides. What is the latin term for a person who is both for and against?

As usual, Dennis's timing is perfect. He'll retire in April, so hiring his replacement will become the polarizing issue in the annual town election in May. Awesome.

Perhaps Dennis's inability to adapt, even after 25 years, is his biggest liability. He's wearing a jacket and tie, but working in a t-shirt town.
