Call it a seven-year itch. Since Tony & Ann's Pizza closed in North Chelmsford in 2002, rumors swirled that the family of the pizzeria's founders, Tony and Ann Privitera, would revive the business.

Have you gotten your permits yet? We grew up on your grandparents pizza and brought OUR children up on it also. There is nothing like it and we have eaten a lot of pizzas in many states, always comparing. Hope to eat the best pizza - soon. quoted text>
Not quite sure what you are implying here. Why do YOU think we are coming back?
We have checked for locations in Chelmsford, Lowell, Billerica and Tewksbury. Methuen as well as Tyngsboro. There we a slew of factors in why certain spots did not work out for us. It just happened that in this latest round of attempts to open, we drove past this location. We liked the location. We liked what the site has to offer, and we moved forward with it.
Aside from the desire to open, we hear and see comments from the general public. This was in various public forums. Topix, From our own message board, which I had to shut down as well as a Facebook page w/ over 400 members. The majority of which is positive. This obviously had an impact on our plans to reopen. When you consider questions like have we been gone too long and similar items like that.
Our grandparents have a legacy that we would like to continue.
There still appears to be a strong demand for Tony and Ann's Pizza or anything that can come close (Lisa Pizza).
The timing is right. The location is right.
We just need to get approval from the planning board. 7.8.2009 @ 7:15.
Thank you.

I do not like the lisa pizza

I will not eat it in a house.

I will not eat it with a mouse.

I do not like it Sam I am.

I only eat at Tony and Ann's.

Good luck in your NEW North Chelmsford location(formerly Rosie's)

Why? As far as I can see we have said nothing negative. I actually went through my postings looking for something negative regarding Pizza Depot or Lisa's Pizza. Nothing there.
All of the rude, insensitive, mean comments were made by the Rhode Island Tony and Ann poster. Some spineless coward, with too much time on his hands. He probably got turned down by Lisa as a kid and has never gotten over it! Poor sorry boy....see below

**** Update **** So today was a HUGE day for us. We fired up the ovens and all 5 are "broken in". Yesterday Anthony made some dough and today sauce was made...basically we spent the evening testing pizza. Yum. Sorry I know I was one of the taste testers and I feel bad for rubbing it in but it should be viewed as posi...tive cause it was GOOD! This puts us closer. Outside forces still control our fate but it shoud be known that we are almost ready.

Papa Gino IS very good but it can't beat the old Walbrook or the Casa Caliente on rte 40 passed the Wyman's Beach turn off.
I am curious about how you knew the Casa Caliente? I grew up there. My parents were Helen and Sonny Perrault. I was looking for information about Tony & Anns and happened to see you mention the Caliente
