Embattled Tyngsboro bar for sale

Full story: Lowell Sun

Less than a year since Tram Dang bought a quiet neighborhood bar and transformed it into a restaurant-pub and live-music night spot that drew neighbors' complaints, Thirsty's owner appears to be tapping out.

I sense I rattled someones cage. That was my exact intention neighbor. With any luck at all I'll be seeing you sson!
I had an offer in on this location before the current owners bought it. It sure was nice of them to fix it all up and get the live entertainment license for me. I'll buy it from them for a fraction of what I offered the previous owners being that nobody will have the cojones and deep pockets that I have to be able to make this thing a success.
My biggest motivation now is to **** off the neighbors. You thought you had it bad with this owner, wait until you have someone in there who knows their rights and has the money and know how to back them up!
I'm all in favor for you Rob!

Hey, it's like buying a place in North Chelmsford...It is what it is. Don't think you're so "uppity" because you live in Tyngsboro, because you "ain't". Too bad for the apparently successful businessman.

Aside from all the bashing everyone is doing to the neighbors, they are not the ones running her out of business.Who in their right mind sinks 800,000.00 into a bar that only holds 53 people. Sorry to say she was financially in trouble in dec. only one month after she opened.

This mremillcity post a week back was right on the money....

"I mean how many times can I say, shout, declare that the only business model that works in Tyngsboro are “tits and batting cages.”

There is NO financial difficulty, I doubt she really dumped that much money into it... but she owns plenty of other business's that she is doing just fine...

I will be sure to post here when we sign the papers. I am going to give it a week before I put in my offer because an article like this in the paper right now could bring a lot of lowballers to the table offering the assessed value ($262,000) on the property. I will time my offer next week in the range of $350,000 which is what they paid for it. If they are smart they will accept my offer because nobody will pay more for it than they paid for it. The market is declining and renovations do NOT add value. I'm a savvy investor and I look forward to owning this heap! I hope you will all come to visit us once we open to join me in saying hello to my new neighbors! Ask for me, Rob, and I'll even buy you a beer.
Hey Rob if you know the Law so good than you would know it is against the ma ABCC laws for an owner, manager,or a bartender to buy a liquor drink for a patron.

Looks like the Blue Moon went under. Maybe Thirsty should move in there.

I thought to Willowdale Spa (the bar) in Tyngsboro on Lake Mascuppic, on Willowdale Ave (I can't remember the exact street, but near that) was torn down years and years ago. Unfortunately I can't check the article to see what it's about

So, just to be clear, it DOES still exist? I remember I used to like to go there to play the arcade games they had. Pretty dumpy place otherwise though.

What year did they tear down the Willowdale Spa?
