Don't we want kids who misbehave to learn how to act like adults? It sounds to me like this was a Success story! He was in trouble when he was young, learned a lesson or two, and is now a productive adult who gives back to the community. Isn't this what everyone wants? Isn't this how its supposed to work?

I was thinking the same thing. So often I see cranky old doooshbags on these forums complaining about how some people need to be taught a lesson, and how they need to learn to become productive members of society.
And it looks as though thats EXACTLY what this guy did.
He learned from his mistakes and grew into a responsible adult.
Whats the problem here anyway?

I just think its funny that some of the people that had stuff to say on this,MIGHT NOT EVEN KNOW HIM!!! If you did you would know that he is a great person, and would HELP anyone out. When was the last time you so called concerned people on here helped out someone that was Violently beaten and chocked and have that person served, because LOWELL police couldnt do their job. That goes for any town that can't do what Chris does. The past is the past and now his family has to suffer for Billerica's one of a kind bent out of shape cop! SHAME ON you where would that cop be without his cushy job sleeping on the side a road during a detail that gets paid 60-80 dollars an hour!!!

"...about the things he has on some Billerica Police..." Maybe instead of worrying about everybody else he should have kept his own life in order. If this person turned his life around we are ALL happy but it doesn't erase what he did in the past. If two people go for a job and one has a clean background and the other doesn't don't be surprised if the person with the clean background gets the job. Sadly he is learning a tough lesson.

If turning your life around doesn't count, how can we expect anyone to do it?

I'm with Lynda on this one. You CAN'T erase your past. It does remain a factor in your life. The problem is the career path he chose. There are many jobs he could be doing where his background won't effect his employment but being a constable isn't one of them. This is HIS fault.

He can do something else for a living but his past makes him ineligible for the constable position.

I 100% wish him well but I understand what happened.

If there is a clean CORI meaning no convictions, then the police reports are allegations that could not and did not support a criminal conviction. Therefore he was denied a license to continue his job because of an unsupported allegation!

This is misuse of authority and does appear to be retribution as noted by prior commenters.

He had his record sealed another scumbag move. You committed many crimes and I am sure he will never change. He wad just protected by people in power but they gone now. He stole many times from Ronnie Pare. He stole from other people. He made payment plans with people and once he got merchandise he never repaid. He is a real scambag. Used to beat his significant other. Now he's a constable and he has a gun, wow
felons are not supposed to have guns. Dangerous
