Capitalism has failed to provide America with the jobs ( full-time and good paying) that it needs to sustain its middle class standard of living, and provide the revenue local governments need to preserve the safty,well-being, public education ,and infrastructure for its citizens.

It's the jobs that the private sector cannot provide even with the capital. The government is the employer of LAST RESORT.

If you are going to respond, don't say something dopely like you hear on FOX News Channel.

The number of pages is not the issue. There are summaries available. Maybe the Bible has too many pages. Read the summaries. Info has been out nthere for about 10 months now; 95% the same.

The Healthcare proposal went from 1.3 trillion DOWN to 787 Billion over 10 YEARS . The CBO ( non-partisan) estimates it will SAVE $30 Billion.

Giving 6 million people a public option, insuring those with pre-existing conditions; reducing administrative costs by electronic automation, reducing waste in Medicare , giving grants to general practicioners, insuring 28 million left uninsured, keep your private plan if you want it, and hold private insurers accountable for higher premiums, and cancelling the insured; allow cross-state competition, etc- all in there. Worth the read, unless you are a 'let's stall , lie, misinform, and complain" Republican because you already have yours.

Don't blame the companies. We're the ones that buy all the foreign stuff because it's cheaper. The companies moved the jobs so they could survive. If you want better paying jobs in the U.S. you'll have to pay two or three times more for their products than the same products that are imported. It won't happen.

And the CBO just stated:
Congressional Budget Office (CBO) confirmed in a letter tonight that the Republican health care plan will lower health care premiums by up to 10 percent and reduce the deficit by $68 billion over 10 years without imposing tax increases on families and small businesses.

So what if we pay a little bit more. We will still have jobs. You can't buy anything without a job , and no tax base to sustain the towns.

It need to stop. No more middle class. think long-term, not just " cheap products'. Companies can lower their costs in other ways; try reducing executive compensation, and getting healthcare out of the workplace like other countries do.

You are giving up on America for some cheap shoes and plastic toys.

A solar panel company in Devens, MA that got state subsidies just shipped 200+ jobs to China.

They couldn't just outsource the jobs to depressed Detroit for $12 bucks an hour, keep it here and employ some Americans that pay taxes , in a depressed city if they wanted to save some money?

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Capricorn

Get out your list of things to do, because you're in a very industrious and efficient mood. Start with whatever is most urgent and then carry on from there. If you seem to be doing all the work while loved ones laze around watching TV, you'll soon chivvy them along and get them to lend a hand. After all, you don't want to feel like Cinderella!
