Erosion, shift in weather patterns, the land rising or falling due to tectonic movement --- lots of reason besides rising sea levels for your observations. You need some lessons in critical thinking skills and understand that lots of things could create the same effects you listed.I've been walking the beach on the Atlantic, for 25 years now, since moving from Lowell.I'd say it's 10 feet narrower, with icebergs melting most of the cause of it.Unless they moved state route A1A back 10 feet, and i didn't see them do it,water is definately rising.Sea turtles are drowning in the shell.Ozone, man, natural?,i don't know, but it's happening, before my eyes.

Ok, if you are so sure they are wrong -- prove that global warming is due to mans activity. Our planet has gone through far more extreme variations in temperature and CO2 content than we see today and those periods could not have been influenced by man. So prove your theory is true.
#23 Nov 25, 2010
So what-- we have had warming and cooling periods many times. What is your point? The farce is the fact that these scientist tried to skew the data to support the conclusion that manmade CO2 was the reason for global warming. Then they and the UN tried to set up a tax scam using that data.

Science is republican and democrat -- Science tends to support he who owns the gold. Most of these scientists get there research funding from the government. In addition, 1400 scientist is such a small number when compared to the total number of scientist in the world that you statement is irrelevant and easily skewed with the grease of government funding.

You're from mid GA.?I would pay for 10 new cars, insure them to the fullest, and let them rot on the beach in Fl.,or on salty winter roads in Lowell, than live in that cesspool of a state.Yep,I'm a lawyer, but i send Georgians, and other goofy rednecks to the jews downstairs. They take anybody for 1000 bucks.

CO2 is poisonous in sufficiently large concentrations. Those concentrations are surprisingly low - at 7% of your atmosphere, CO2 will kill you in a few minutes. It's not because of low Oxygen, either. An atmosphere of 93% Oxygen and 7% CO2 will kill you.
"According to NIOSH, concentrations of 40,000 ppm or higher should be regarded as immediately dangerous to life and health. Exposure to very high concentrations (e.g., exposure to 6 percent volume CO2 for several minutes or 30 percent volume CO2 for 20-30 seconds) has been linked to permanent heart damage, as evidenced by altered electrocardiograms."

Ahhhh, yet another angry, ignorant bigot from the Northeast(what ARE the odds?), using regional stereotyping to foment his beligerance and hate and just for good measure throw in a bit of anti-Semitism.
Exactly what one can expect from Northeast lib-swine.
To prove the depth of your ignorance I am from the Merrimack Valley.
Where the computor is routed through has nothing to do with the senders location.
What, they didn't teach you that at the A-hole-school for slip-n-fall lie-yers you attended?
Do you run one of those cheasy T.V. ads "one call that's all" call Roonie Dooosh and get your settlement super-sized.
But hey, all is not lost skippy, I hear Owl Gore still has some of those bogus carbon credits for sale(he's the Bernie Madoff investment champ for simpleton libs and greenie-weenies), special black Friday price 3/1 sale and he'll make it 2/1 for all slip-n-fall lawyers.

Yes, however 7% concentration of co2 on this planet is light years away and may never happen at all.
Next iceage, who knows?
Co2 is presently at 0.039% of the Earth's atmosphere and mans contribution to that concentration is less than 1% of that number. 7% concentration is the pipe dream of all pipe dreams for the global warming scammers and greed-mongers, furthermore without the presense of co2 gases the planet and all of it's living creatures would die, lord knows we could certainly stand to lose the global warming clan and the Earth wouldn't skip a beat.
Maybe we could hook them up with a Jim Jones style co2 cocktail from the tailpipe of a 75 Olds Vista-Cruiser wagon, you know so they can hook up with the mother ship , she will only be in our orbit for the next few years.
Try not to fall for Chicken-Little "The sky is falling, the sky is falling" nonsense.

Dude, I'm no detective and I don't even play one on TV but based on your statements in this earlier post, I'm fairly certain your claim to be from the Merrimack Valley is complete BS.
Which basically tells me (not that I didn't already know this), that your posts are nothing more than the rantings of an insecure, angry loser who has nothing better to do with his time than engage in on-line insult exchanges. You don't care what the REAL science is. The REAL science is the science YOU want to believe. No amount of name-calling is going to change my mind and no amount of rational debate is going to change what little mind you have.
I could share the links that ranked states by total tax burden (sorry, they're not from lib-turd web-sites) but you'd use some twisted logic to tell us why the stats must be based on left slanted lies. So I'm not going to bother. By the way Einstein, the last time I checked, auto insurance wasn't a tax so it doesn't factor into the equation.

Awe, is somebodies panties in a wad?
What are you twelve?
You rant like Joy Behar.
But hey, a girl's gotta do what you gotta do.
How 'bout that carbon credit scam the Chicago Exchange shut down this summer, with massive lawsuits to follow.
Chelmsford boy from birth, sorry to burst your delusional bubble.
Sorry to tip over your little liberal apple cart skippy, but your silly "data sights" about the AGW scam are all based on "simulations" phony simulations inserting massively bloated exaggerations of what MIGHT happen if the grossly inflated and fraudulent conditions were to occur, and THEN they pass that crap off as science!
And you lib-stains bought it!
Follow the money skippy, for every pseudo-scientist (store bought by AGW crowd) that spouts the AGW lie there are 17 REAL scientists that blow the hole scam right into orbit.
Don't forget to stock up on your heating oil skippy, I hear it's going to be a real chilly winter in Taxachusetts.

I am aware that given a large enough concentration of CO2 in the air that death can occur. However to reach the 7% concentration you are talking about would be a near impossible feat. You are also assuming that the earthís environmental engine is static and does not compensate for changes. Which we all know it does. CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere have been dramatically higher in the past; we are currently at the lowest levels seen for the planet. We also know from plant biology that a concentration below 275 ppm means plant death. Atmospheric CO2 is 0.0385% of the total atmosphere, and human produced CO2 is 0.001925% of the total.
CO2 concentrations over time:
Cambrian Period:(543-490 mya) averages out to 7,000 ppm
Ordovician Period (490 - 443 mya) averages out to 4,500 ppm
Silurian Period (443 - 417 mya) averages out to 3,000 ppm
Devonian Period (417 - 354 mya) averages out to 1,200 ppm
Carboniferous Period (354 - 290 mya) averages out to 400 ppm
Permian Period (290 - 248 mya) averages out to 1,900 ppm
Triassic Period (248 - 206 mya) averages out to 1,400 ppm
Jurassic Period (206 - 144 mya) averages out to 1,800 ppm
Cretaceous Period (144 - 65 mya) averages out to 800 ppm
Paleogene (65 - 23.8 mya) averages out to 700 ppm
Neogene (23.8 - 1.8 mya) averages out to 500 ppm
Quarternary (1.8 - present) averages out to 350 ppm

My comment about CO2 was in response to your "since when is CO2 considered a pollutant?" It is true that CO2 concentrations in open atmosphere are nowhere near lethal levels, and will likely never be at those levels. It is a common misconception, however, that CO2 is always harmless, and I sought to dispel that notion. Every year, some people who put themselves in enclosed spaces with dry ice die. Other often overlooked sources of CO2 are auto exhaust, space heaters, and decay of organic material. In an unventilated space, any of those can cause death.

Wow, another wingnut robot who thinks his brilliant arguments and clever insults have got some poor wussy liberal all upset. Does it make you feel superior to think I'm sitting here trying to type on a keyboard that's shorting out from my dripping tears?
And surprise, surprise, he also follows the same tired script by telling me to "follow the money". What are the odds?(Gee, that phrase sounded eerily familiar.) Check the color of your Kool-Aid Cletus, it might be a nice cherry red.
Face it, you don't really care about the science. To you this is just a proxy battle over ideology that gives you an excuse to insult people. If your AM radio echo chamber told you global warming was real and it was caused by the hot air of a bunch of moonbats sitting around a campfire singing Hare Krishna, you'd be the first to buy an inflatbale raft and caseloads of Spam to save your sorry behind from the rising sea levels.

The little girlie-girl just entered Whoopi Goldberg territory.
What next, hissy-fits and locking yourself in mommies basement, oh wait you're already there?
39 , fat and bald sitting in your underwear in mommies basement popping your leg-zits is no way to go through life skippy.
But hey, if you put your tinfoil cap on just right and tilt it towards the mothership in the Northern sky you just might be able to get todays latest installment of the "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" from DNC headquarters concerning your faux religion of Global Warming.
Owl Gore thanks you for support and his continued lifestyle of the rich and not-so-famous for buying into his global warming hoax.
That Kool-Aid they serve over at plantation DNC must be some kind of powerful.

Hey Whoopi, where you hidin' girlie-girl?
I know it's real hard for the duped to escape from being "stuck on stupid" however if you read post #'s 28 and and 31 on this thread maybe, just maybe, you will be able to noodle out the silliness that is this "manmade global warming hoax" be sure to pay real close atention to the location of the decimal point concerning co2 saturation levels in the atmosphere,(Don't believe me or Merlin?, do little research yourself online, it's so easy even a lib can do it) however that directive might just bit above your paygrade, maybe if you ask your mommy she will be able to help you .
Back to the basement Whoopi.
