Why doesn't the town use Community Preservation funds to puchase this propertyy via Eminent Domain, and then tear down the house, and put a small park there for everyone to enjoy?

Usual "Big" Steve Coravos, "There's a time to put Dracut people back to work, and that time is now", right after golf season when I'm not doing anything and it will save me how much money! There's only one person in Steve's world, and that's Steve, about as self-centered as a person can be.

He's full of Sh*t. He's not going to put Dracut residents to work, he has his own "buddies" to do the work, and he knows it.

"We need to take the emotions out of this and see what's in the best interest of the town," Selectman Cathy Richardson said. ".

I am very glad to see that we have elected a person who is looking at issues with the eyes of the townspeople, Good Job Cathy!

Two points,Second one first.Thank you selectman for addressing this horrific sesame street issue head on! First point why should a millionair developer recieve almost a million dollar free fee? This developer has already made miliions of dollars in our community playing by the rules, now he wants to break them? Enough welfare for our rick community developers! Didn't Lussier try this a few years ago? Steve Corovos and Jerry Lussier Dracuts millionair public welfare people of the year! Ohh almost forgot Frank and his family's of Gormans.with their hands out for Dracut taxpayers money!

I think what the developer is trying to say is "Christmas is coming and I need more millions."

I am not paying for Coravos to put more $$$ in his pockets. Why shouldn't he pay? Waivers? At a time like this waivers are the last thing that should be granted. He doesn't care about Dracut. The fact that there is no Fed $$ coming to Dracut is more reason to NOT grant the waivers. When is enough enough with the likes of Coravos, Lussier and Gorman? Let'see if the Selectmen fold on this one too.

THe issue surrounding the house on Sesame St has gone on far too long. I really feel bad for the people who live near that house.

First, he is using 40B to get around most zoning, and now he wants all sewer and water fees waived! This would be a terrible deal for Dracut. Let him threaten to go to the state--he'll lose.
thanks

Amen, so sick of these rich guys thinking they own the town or the town owes them. Because of Gorman not paying his bills and filing bankruptcy (for like the 3rd time)the company I worked for went out of business because he owed us over $100,000 for all the stuff he bought, then we couldn't pay our vendors. Then he turns around and starts up another business, and I'm still out of work. It must be nice to screw people and get away with it!

You are absolutely correct about Gorman, and he did that to Dracut residents. It is news to me that he is back up and running again but I'm not surprised. Not sure who would go back and do work for him again. How does he sleep at night is what I want to know? The ones with all the money are the ones always looking for the freebies.

I'd like to build a house in Dracut. Would you waive the fees for me too? I'll put a Dracut plumber, electrician, carpenters, plasterer etc to work, too. Better still, let's waive the fee for anyone building in Dracut. Fair is only fair.

Hey Coravos. Me and my family eat a lot at your Mama's Restaurant and by doing so, I help keep a lot of local people employed at Mama's. You have NEVER EVER 'waived' my dinner check for my family of four. How about you do that before you ask the taxpayers of Dracut to fill your pockets with cash!

This has nothing to do with 40B and everything to do with municipal welfare (his), greed and maximizing profits. As for his "putting people to work"....these will be the same people that always work for him. He will not hire anyone from Dracut unless they are related.

I agree! Unlike the good ole boys, Cathy has her head on straight -- and is looking out for the townspeople.
