Break out the rain barrels, low flow faucets and shower heads. And instant on hot water fixtures. The way it's going water will be costing as much; if not more; than fuel.

If you liked Lynch little in Chelmsford, you like him less in Lowell.

Exactly!!!

We should NOT be paying for water period...

Once a long long time ago water cost nothing. Then the greedy government started buying the land that water flows and started charging the people for it. It's a natural resource we all need to live and were getting raped for it now. Be prepared, the oil is drying up and the government needs our money and we need water. Water is going to become a huge crises in the next few years and were all gonna pay for it big. If not we will just die and it wont matter to any of them! WE NEED TO TAKE BACK OUR SUPPOSEDLY FREE LAND!!!

That's what need's to be done if you want to survive the water conflict that's gonna wreak havoc on the US in the next few years. Buy property with private water. Google T. Boone Higgins and do some research on this. Between him and the Bush family they will own 90% of the US water supply if not all of it! Be prepared they don't care if we live or die. They will charge us more for water then they do for fuel.

I do not feel bad for Dracut or any other town that buys water from Lowell -- by the way you can have the sewerage plant if you would like.

But --- once again our "Professional" City Manager is called out for not communicating and -- He admits it !

This guy is a complete joke

City Council Wake Up !!

This guy does not care about the City just look at the abandoned homes? drugs?

Every problem he is either "working on" or it was left by someone else so its not his fault

He takes his salary and goes back to Chelmsford ---

But before he goes back to Chelsford he stopes at the 99 for a few.
He can afford it the council gave him a nice raise,
What a joke.

Start looking at the city workers disappearing for hours at a time, running other businesses, cruising around in other cities and towns, playing around on their computers all day. That's tax payers dollars. They're laughing their heads off.

Once again only the homeowners are footing the bill. Why not tax somethng that everyone has to pay...huh...Lynch...huh. I pay my home taxes, sewer, water and trash fees and I couldnt even send my daughter to a public school in this city. I dont mind paying my fair share but apartment dwellers need to pay theirs.

As a Dracut resident we should explore additional well drilling for our water. Having Lowell politiciations determing our rates is a road to financial disaster! Those elected nit wits couldn't balance a ham sandwich!

Take a look around we still pay some of the lowest rates in the state. Water dosen't come free when you have to distribute and test it. You want free there's the Merrimack and Beaver Brook. Who's going to pay for all the upgrades at Duck Island, is there more on the horizon?

In Dracut we had two water supts because the one in charge was a former teacher who didn't know squat, but was politically connected, so they hired the real water professional as an asst. for just about the same salary, over a hundred grand! Now the rate payers are paying for it in high water rates. and don't forget the new state of the art white elephant new building we are paying for! and some of the water commissioners who suck health insurance off the water district where we pay 90%

We're not paying for upgrades at duck island we're paying for the city workers to drive around all day doing nothing but running errands, playing on their computers, and who knows what else they do to kill the time. Its about time some one starts checking up on them.

I know that the North Chelmsford Water District made the right decision on buildind their own Water Treatment Plant and didn't get pressured into buying water from the City of Lowell as the politicians diligently tried. It was proven to be cheaper before the 24 percent increase and I am happy to say that they also designed the back wash system to be recycled to the plant and go back into the aquifier of North Chelmsford and not dumped into Duck Island that has seen numerous rate increases due to updates and mandates, another future saving.
