What you can do is insist that the Republicans quit shipping jobs overseas, blocking legislation that will prevent that , and stop giving tax breaks to millionaires, billionaires and well off who don't need them and will not use the extra money to create jobs, when there is no demand.

Tea Party and Liberals are in agreement on this one.

No, lets have the successful people(top 2%) pay the same effective tax rate as the rest of us.

Or let's have them pay the same rates they did under previous Presidents. These are the top marginal rates for different periods:

Eisenhower - 91%
Johnson - 70%
Reagan - 50%
Clinton - 40%
Bush 2 until now - 35%

Every country that has ever implemented a progressive tax system has failed or is failing.

Taxes are not the problem in America.

OUT OF CONTROL Government spending, mostly during the past 45 years( both parties are to blame, however Congress from 65-2010 has been controlled by the left for 33 years, while the right has only had control for 12 years, so the Dems. get roughly 66% of the blame and team GOP gets 33%) these politicians have taken the most prosperous nation on the planet and delivered us to the brink of economic collapse, while they, themselves have enriched themselves massively at the trough of the public tax dollars.

You can never tax your economy into properity, nor can you borrow your way out of debt.

Government is never the answer, yet it is almost always the root of the problem.

Maybe you should send this message to Sen. John Kerry. You know the hypocrate that bought his little sail boat in New Zealand. How many jobs did that pay for in the United States.

All you Liberals talk the talk but NEVER WALK the WALK.

BTW then he wanted to avoid Massachusetts Sales Tax and Excise Tax.

The top 2% wealthy bilk us for $700,000,000 in income tax cuts over 10 years and all you can do is talk about John Kerry's sailboat?
He said he'd pay the sales tax. Now what?

It's highly unlikely that the ultra rich will agree to tax increases when it's been so much more cost effective for them to buy the government. We also have the issue that so many of them make lots of money off a government that doesn't bother to get better deals. Do you realize how much money this country could have saved if Halliburton gave Dick Cheeney a 10% employee discount?

Did you include Sen. John Kerry and his wife in that number.

Check out her tax loophole of investing in Tax Free bonds.

Oh that's right Kerry Talks the Talk but doesn't walk the walk.
But that's ok, because he is a Liberal Democrat and they are tax exempt.

BTW how much tax does a person that makes $30,000.00 pay is he/she bilking the country?
